A new Public Policy Polling survey shows Donald Trump with an eight-point gain in North Carolina over the past month.
Last month, the left-leaning PPP was the first in the nation to give Trump a lead, when he scored 16 percent in the state. He’s now at 24 percent, which puts him ahead of Ben Carson (14 percent), Jeb Bush (13 percent), Ted Cruz (10 percent), Marco Rubio (9 percent), and 6 percent each for Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and Scott Walker. At the bottom are Rand Paul (3 percent), Chris Christie and Rick Santorum (2 percent), John Kasich and Rick Perry (1 percent), and Jim Gilmore, Bobby Jindal and George Pataki with less than 1 percent. Lindsey Graham had no supporters.

It turned out to be a wrong move, and he has addressed that on the floor of the Senate.
Don’t kid yourself. Ted is ambitious and it would also give him a boost to run for the Presidency in 4 years. I don’t think Donald would want to serve more than one term. I don’t know why, but that’s what I think. Besides, he would be the presiding officer of the Senate.

this requires the true base/conservatives(/FRers) to go into their local party and take the roles to ensure conservatives in general are not cheated.

I think...perhaps...it would be even more accurate to noe that the bill changed as it went through the sausage making process...in the context of the Reid/McConnell senate, I have no difficulty in believing that they change stuff they promised not to, and that a conservative with a conscience could initially support something, based in part on his party’s promises, then when those promises are broken, withdrawing support.

jbush could run a third party sore loser campaign just to trash trump.
If he runs in most R primaries, I think there are enough states with sore loser laws to make that ineffective.

This is how Cruz characterized it, and all things considered there’s no reason to disbelieve him.
I am supporting both Cruz and Trump but Cruz is the only one I have given financial support.

Ted Cruz on the other hand is the principled , sprinted, intelligent conservative that we Freepers need to coalesce around for the battles ahead.
I can only think of three votes I actually almost busted the levers and buttons when voting...

I can't imagine Trump treating him like a regular VP. I would imagine he would treat him the same way he treats a VP in his company.
As much as I like Cruz as an old style politician, I'm convinced no Republican President has any chance of being effective unless they can manage both the politics AND the media.
Trump has shown the potential to do the former, and unbridled success at the latter.
With all honesty, do you really trust that this guy won't revert to his left leanings?
I think like anything else, it will be a mix. I certainly don't expect him to totally disavow the platform that gets him elected.
