The writer forgot or chose to leave out “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” part of the 14th amendment. That’s quite an omission.
You are ignoring the plain language of the 14th amendment much like the gun grabbers ignore the plain language of the 2nd amendment. If children born of immigrants are not citizens of the United States who is? What is your criteria?
