A would-be robber was shot multiple times after the owner of an Oakland Park auto parts store managed to wrestle his gun from him and shoot him and the entire confrontation was captured on surveillance video.
According to the Broward Sheriffs Office, Conrad Bloomfield, 36, entered CAD Auto Parts, 2935 NW 17th Terrace, at about 1 p.m. Monday with an accomplice.
Bloomfield, BSO said, then went into Andrew Hepburns office. Hepburn, the stores owner, can be seen in the video behind his desk, looking at his cellphone when a man comes in, knocks him off the chair and forces him on his stomach.
When the robber gets distracted, Hepburn grabs the mans leg and then begins to hit him and manages to wrestle the gun from him. According to a police report, Hepburn shot Bloomfield five times in the chest area.
Meanwhile, a second robber shot at Hepburn and took off. A witness in the store also left. . .

So, Hepburn shot an unarmed man. /s
I enjoy a nice story like this before bedtime. One less thug off the streets tonight.
Unfortunately, no sound :( I wonder how many times the “MF”-bomb was used ;) Oh well, one less crook on the streets! :)
Props to Mr Hepburn. My take is that the robbers would have killed both Hepburn and the witness who ran away if they could have.
All’s well that ends well.
ditto
Bravo Mr. Hepburn. Fortune favors the bold.
Once again, the great equalizer prevails.
Mr. Hepburn appeared to continue to hit the perpetrator after he had been subdued. He can expect a law suit.
Meanwhile, a second robber shot at Hepburn and took off.
Just a tactical comment.
I think Bloomfield should have devoted a bit more attention to the perp that was shooting at him.
I certainly understand that in the heat of the moment the thug closest to him seemed the greater threat.
Then there is the fact that this is the guy that had knocked him to the floor and forced him face down on the floor so there is the anger issue.
But the two in the chest would have been fine and then put three in the guy actively trying to kill him.
Survival is more important than anger. First priority has to be the guy with the gun shooing at you.
