The rise of Donald Trump has many of his GOP rivals asking: How can we steal away the source of his apparent appeal to GOP primary voters? Today, were getting one answer to that question from Scott Walker, who seems to have decided that Trumps surge is rooted partly in those voters frustration with the failure of GOP leaders to stop Obama.
To appeal to those voters, Walker will take a page from Ted Cruzs manual of demagoguery and distortions, arguing in a speech today that Washington Republicans let the country down by failing to live up to their promise to repeal Obamacare and that he would be willing to take on GOP leaders over their betrayal. Politico reports:
In a speech set to deliver in Minnesota on Tuesday, Walker will take on the GOPs leaders in Congress.
Republican leaders in Washington told us during the campaign last year that we needed a Republican Senate to repeal Obamacare, the Wisconsin governor will say, according to excerpts of his remarks released by the campaign. Well, Republicans have been in charge of both houses of Congress since January and there still isnt a bill on the presidents desk to repeal Obamacare.
Walker will say that hes had to take on the establishment in his party before and that he told GOP lawmakers in Wisconsin, It was put up or shut up time. If we didnt do what we said wed do, the voters would have every right to throw us out. Congressional Republicans, of course, have voted dozens of times to repeal Obamacare. The fact that Republicans now control both houses of Congress doesnt change the underlying reality that there arent enough GOP Senators to overcome a Dem filibuster of repeal,

They must be deaf.
And that is the problem. Politicians shift their values when they think it will appeal to voters. Walker doesn't believe this or else he'd be harping on it like Cruz has been. It's a belief driven by the need to get votes.
No bias here.
Beyond that, Trump's core appeal is simple. He is speaking truth to the havoc that excessive immigration, both legal and illegal, has wrought on the living standards of the middle and lower classes. The rest of the crowd, with the exception of Walker, thinks we should just accept that and put some ice on it.
And Cruz, with his desire to expand H-1B visas fivefold, is part of the problem as well.
They must be deaf indeed. WaPo certainly doesn’t get it either.
Unfortunately for them, Trump's strongest appeal is that he isn't them and isn't a politician.
Here let me help them understand:
WE’RE SICK OF IT !!
Day late and a dollar short.
You're being kind.
Trump’s not even a RINO. He is a living breathing political trojan horse.
Walker wouldn’t take on anybody. He is the GOPe. This is so sad and pathetic everyone sees through it.
As far as I’m concerned every one of these 16 candidates could have come out long ago with the same ideas Trump is promoting but they didn’t and they have no belief in any of it. Only Ted Cruz has somewhat mirrored Trump.
“demagoguery and distortions?” What THC has this dope-head been smoking?
And he would have been out front with it like Trump was months ago, and not just out front, but in your face. ONLY Trump has produced an actual person-—a black man-—on stage whose son was killed by an illegal. This is hard stuff to ignore, even by the drive-bys.
LOL!
Trump has charisma, something Walker is lacking.
It’s easy he has balls, they dont
It’s so simple, this country has been pussified for so long when someone comes out and speaks their mind the sissies wet their pants
Gosh it is so hard to understand ....after all now that they have the senate and house immigration reform, repealing Ocare, tax reform, cutting government spending have all occurred.
Inter-breeding with democrats will do that.
