Chicago — It was just about a year ago. Michael Brown's body was left face down on a street in Ferguson, Mo., his bright red Cardinals cap lying beside him and police officers standing idly by.

It was a deeply unsettling image. Combined with the stories of witnesses who said the unarmed black 18-year-old had attempted to surrender before being shot by a white cop, it reeked of a shameful history.

A merciless bum is on the sidewalk waiting for police to finish their business.

We are supposed to feel sorry for this strong arm thief because he wore an “bright” jacket?!?!

Are we supposed to have empathy with all criminals that like shiny objects and brightly colored clothes?!
