I heard him speak at Kent State back in the 70s. He came across as calm and measured — but darned if I can remember a thing he said.

I recall his being considered a "boy wonder " (although I'm sure they didn't use that terminology) of the Democratic Party.

I believe it was the 1968 convention when they talked of drafting him as a presidential candidate, but learned he was constitutionally unqualified because of his youth.

Man, does that make me feel old...which, of course, is what I am.
