You hit the nail on the head. I am also puzzled by the repeated mantra that Trump is not a conservative. Why was that not an issue with people like Beck when Romney was the nominee. It was not an issue with McCain was the candidate. We have not had a conservative president since Ronald Reagan. Now, all of a sudden, we must have a “conservative” when there are none running that are more conservative than Trump. Boehner and McConnell are NOT conservative and they get a free pass from the Republican caucus. In my thinking, the survival of the country takes precedence over the liberal/conservative argument. I just happen to believe Trump for the reason I have seen him on TV for many, many years saying the same things he is saying now.
If you think Trump is the most Conservative you are badly out of touch.
Would a real Conservative say (just last week) that socialized medicine worked just fine in Canada and Scotland?
That he favored progressive income taxation?
That Planned Parenthood did some good things and continue with federal funding?
I could go on with other examples but I don’t have the time. Trump is a RINO and a liberal.
