Ted Cruz is a class act. He’s my backup plan.

And what are Huckabee ‘ s numbers compared to Trump’s?

I love Cruz but what are his poll numbers??

Perry is losing not just because he had nothing to deliver, but also because he messed with the bull and got the horns. I want a candidate who will fight back when provoked, regardless of political affiliation. Because that will be the person to fight for the country when this nation is backed into a corner.

“Cruz is a man of integrity. He’s also one of the most brilliant candidates with which our country has ever been blessed.”

Any position other than President would be a waste of Senator Cruz’s abilities.

You are not getting what I am saying at all.

I said nothing about Huck beating Trump.

I also don’t live and die by the polls this early.
Cruz is my candidate. I’m not switching candidates.

The original article was posted to highlight the fact that Cruz said it wasn’t smart to comment on other REPUBLICAN candidates, and he meant Trump. That’s what the media wants republican candidates to do is go after Trump.
Huck agreed with Cruz.
Fighting your opponent in the general, and in a primary is 2 different animals.

Your statement about Perry is correct, but then you turn around and claim you want all the Republican candidates to fight each other. The 2 concepts are opposed to each other.

I don’t want to hear them at each others throat. I want to hear HOW they’re going to fix my country.
They have plenty of time to fight with the Dems next year.

Here’s a question that just popped into my mind. Why would Cruz tell the other candidates this? Why wouldn’t he just keep this advice to himself and benefit by it? Think about it.

Because he's knows they won't take his advice. If they do, they're obeying him and thereby designating him as their alpha. If they don't, they shoot themselves in the foot and he benefits by rising above the fray. And no matter what, he gets to say "I warned you."

Win-win for Cruz.

You didn’t convince me, but this is the most intelligent response I’ve seen on the subject. Thanks for the input.

Cruz would be an excellent justice next to Scalia!

You have to remember they it’s a wisdom competition, too. You have to let people know you’re wise - you can’t just be wise, or they’ll just take it for granted.

I’d guess Cruz is using a lot of jury-relationship skills he learned as a prosecutor. Building his case, yes, but also constantly reminding people that what they think of him is what he is showing them about himself. That way, the knowledge is a “shared discovery” that creates a bonding experience.

The guy is as sharp as a scalpel.

It seems that the more I see and read the more Cruz seems to be that rare combination of super high IQ, great wisdom and plain common sense. The question is whether the voters of this country are smart enough to appreciate that as well as whether there will be anything remotely resembling an honest election.

“...Cruz is wise...”

He’s a decent, good, American man and a Patriot. Something in short order in DC these days.

I remember a time when that was the norm, instead of the exception.

Honestly I think the highest and best use of Ted Cruz would be on the Supreme Court. Or as AG. Everybody can’t be President.

Could use a good mentor, though.

I'm thinking Cruz already has two "mentors." 1. God. 2. The Donald.
