NBC entertainment chairman, Bob Greenblatt, had two words Thursday on whether Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump would ever return as host of "The Celebrity Apprentice:" Absolutely not.

Greenblatt said that the show will not be back next season, but will return in the future with a new host.

NBC cut ties with Trump in June days after he made critical comments about Mexican immigrants and NBC canceled its airing of the Miss USA pageant, which Univision also decided not to air.

Greenblatt said he enjoyed working with Trump when the network was still in business with him.

"He is a lovely guy. He was very much a collaborator and worked with us closely on 'Celebrity Apprentice' and, you know, there's a really effusive great guy. We weren't in any sort of adversarial position."

Rumour is that Amal, Clooney’s wife is going to be his replacement.

Without Trump, it will crash.

Because a lot of people cannot be rational of the topic of Donald Trump.

Including his supporters.

“since when did August have 134 days?”

Since Brian Williams became an NBC news anchor.

My criteria for a decent (not perfect) Republican candidate:

Must oppose illegal immigration and make it a center-piece of the campaign – Trump is #1so far.
Must oppose abortion – Trump opposes abortion. He’s a little squishy, but he hews to the basic principle.
Must be willing to go to battle with the media who is an enemy of freedom – no one is better than Trump on this.
Must want to reform taxes – Trump’s tax plan has a top rate of 15%. Which candidate is calling for a rate lower than that?
Must understand the economy – Trump knows better than anyone that government is in the way.
Must be an outsider and must stand in opposition to the Establishment in Washington – who more than Trump?

Is he perfect? No.
Are any others better? You are free to feel that way. My number one is not Trump (it’s Cruz).

But why do so many freepers ceaselessly attack Trump? “He’s a Democrat”, “He’s helping Hillary”, stc, etc.

There are 16 Republican candidates. It is vitally important to focus 100% of the Conservative attacks on Trump? Is he the “worstest” guy ever?

I think his supporters have at least some claim to rationality.
His detractors? Not rational at all.

The show will lose ratings because of the fact that people won’t tune in since they know NBC fired Trump and he was the backbone of the show. So people will not want to see a cheap imitation. NBC will just further lose ratings like everything else.

Fired? Trump walked in a said he had to quit the show because he was running for president. It was not a firing, it was a resignation.

since when did August have 134 days?

365 (days in a year) - 52 (weeks in a year) = 313

8 (August is the 8th month) + 7 (days per week) = 15

15 (from above) X 12 (months in a year) = 180

313 (from above) - 180 (from above) = 133

133 (from above) + 1 (leap year) = 134

That is actually really basic Common Core stuff. I am surprised you didn't know that.

Trump and his family were the main reason to watch the show

And he made a mega contribution to the charity of choice of the winner

I just don’t see any equivalent business dynasty with the charisma and qualifications to run this format

Who has ever even heard her voice?

She has a track record as an executive putting people to work solving problems and judging their results? Who knew. I thought she was a skinny clothes horse English barrister who spends most of her time rainmaking among celebrities

They'll have to use the FAUX news, low to the floor, up the dress camera angle if they want it to last more than a month.

Celebrity Apprentice was about watching celebrities doing everyday people's jobs. Anybody can host that, but they need to bring a CEO's gravitas to the boardroom.

The Apprentice was about a mogul like Donald Trump hiring an aide to work in his empire for a year (at least originally). To host this, you have to be a mogul with an empire, or where will the Apprentice winner actually apprentice for the year?

We’re absolutely rational. Just like Romney flipped on a lot of his positions right before his first campaign, Trump did the same. I’m looking for solid policies that will work, not lip service followed by the same old policies.

Ted Cruz is far more anti-establishment. He called the Senate leader a liar and endured withering attacks from the GOP elites during his filibuster and shutdown efforts. Trump has been extremely cozy with politicians, donating lots of money to them. Hillary Clinton attended his wedding. That’s the polar opposite of being an outsider. Trump represents the well-heeled elites who get in bed with government officials to win special favors better than anyone. Having a “bad boy” personality isn’t enough to make you some kind of rebel supposedly raging against the status quo.

Other candidates are for a flat tax. Trump is not. Progessive rates unfairly punish the rich for their success. Encouraging people to become rich makes America strong and great.

Trump’s illegal immigration plan is almost indistinguishable from most of the other candidates. He wants to “expedite the return of the good ones.” So he is by definition offering to grant some amount of the illegals legal status here. I don’t think any other candidate is offering blanket amnesty or banning all chance of legalizing some of them. So how is Trump’s position substantively different in its results (not counting whether or not the illegals have to walk outside the country first before walking back in to stay permanently)?

Trump is open to funding Planned Parenthood. That is a far weaker position than the mainstream Republican position. Trump’s religious background and convictions are weak, so he’s unlikely to be strong on moral issues. He also allowed a transsexual to compete in his beauty pageant for women in Canada a couple years back. He opposed it at first but backed down in the face of criticism, which I am confident would be how he would govern on almost any issue, especially any related to morality.

For someone who “understands the economy,” he praised Warren Buffett’s potential as an advisor. Just because someone’s super rich doesn’t mean they understand the economy. John Corzine and John Kerry don’t.

It’s also legitimate to question Trump’s electability considering how high his negatives are while acknowledging that everyone knows who he is. What more are people going to learn about him that they don’t already know that could turn around those negatives? Not to mention, while I’ve heard him criticize Obama plenty, I haven’t heard much talk against Hillary. In fact, I think he’s praised Hillary. How tough of a campaign is he going to run against someone he’s been friendly with?

Pinning your hopes on standard politicians to change D.C. and to work for the best interests of America and Americans is the very definition of insanity. “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results,” - Albert Einstein.

How is your lemming-like fidelity to the GOP working out for you?
