Officers were called around 4:45 p.m. to the 2700 block of The Alameda near Kennedy Avenue on reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
"I heard three shots, and then I heard police running, and they all went in the alley," said Maxine Isabelle, a resident who lives across the street from the shooting scene. "It was so close to home now. You hear about it but not right here. That could have been my alley, not that alley over there. It's really, really bad, and they are young kids."

"No further information was immediately released."
Apparently, a description of the "young kids" was considered superfluous.

Black lives splatter...
Damn shame too, since it’s Blacks by an overwhelming margin proving it.

You estimated too low. I think I read somewhere that Baltimore is competing with Chicago for most homicides this year. If so, Baltimore should easily clear 400 this year.
To: RetiredTexasVet
Chicago is up to 273. However Chicago has a population of 2.7 million and Baltimore only 622k. Maybe this would calm down if they were just given more space to uh, play midnight basketball, yeah that’s it.

Maybe the new charm of formerly “Charm City” is the charm of having a record number of murders?
