Scott Rasmussen sold Rasmussen Reports after the 2012 election. He was forced to let the company keep the name.

Rasmussen Reports is not the outfit that we all remember it to be.

PPP, Ipsos and 538 were the only ones who were considered really accurate for 2012. 538 nailed it consistently on Romney’s negatives, and they said he was looking to be unelectable as time went on before he got the nomination.

After Romney got the nomination, 538 said sometime after that that he was unelectable.

538 is already beginning to say similar things for Trump as they said for Romney, Romney pre-nomination that is.

And PPP this year has consistently placed The Donald in the 17-19% range.

But, as we all know, PPP is a stupid, failing polling firm! /s.
