California prison officials have approved the nation’s first known sex-reassignment surgery for a prison inmate and say their actions show that they handle each case individually and have never had a blanket policy against surgery. But a transgender rights group isn’t convinced, and neither was a federal judge.
“They’ve had a written policy ... that surgical treatment (for transgender inmates) shall not be available and shall be deferred past the time of incarceration,” Ilona Turner, legal director of the Transgender Law Center in San Francisco, said Monday.

I am not sure there is currently a more bizarre nation on the planet. What kind of moral and sane nation would even have this as an issue for discussion? This is an obamanation.

Oh my God, I feel bad for the people of California. The state government is useless and flat out crazy.
The nut should be in the mental health ward of the prison, not given transgender surgery and put in with the women.
