Actually Trump should get into the pissing matches. It’s a smart way of preparing the battlefield and intimidating his opponents because he is better at it than they are.

It’s a Rope-a-Dope strategery to stay on personalities until getting into issues later. There’s a long way to go until the Convention and actual Election.
That's their problem, not Trump's.
So the idea that it's good that Trump is running because it makes the other field step up is, to me, a lie.

Not only that, but it’s sucking the oxygen out of every other candidates campaign, because the media loves mentioning his bombastic statements and inviting him to their shows to finally get him to apologize (which he will never do), and getting even more coverage.
As long as the people back him, he’ll be fine, and so far he’s only going up in the polls. Where he may trip up is if he comes out with a position on an issue that the conservatives abhor. At that point things will start going south for him.
