Michael Landon gave us Little House and Highway to Heaven, and his last series US was also going to be great.
All of his shows were wonderful, certainly Little House was a Christian program
Some of the episodes of Highway to Heaven allowed for some of his liberal views to come through (yes I have seen them all)
I am not all that sure of his exact beliefs, he was raised apparently in a mixed Jewish Christian home, I guess he had some liberal views, certainly you did not know that watching Little House, but you could see some of his struggles in a few of his Highway to Heaven episodes, as he let some of his views slip in
But what a legacy he left in Little House and Highway to Heaven
I hope he was a Christian
God Bless him for the great programs he left us, I pray he Knew The Lord, how could a guy that made such programming not be, many of the episodes he wrote
They show Little House all the time on TV..in fact before I saw this news I was actually watching the show. I still enjoy it even after all these years, to me it was a more on the Conservative side which I liked. You wouldn’t see that kind of programming today that’s for sure
He was not. He married a Christian wife, and his kids were raised in that faith, but he remained Jewish.
He spoke about it shortly before his death, about how his kids pleaded with him to accept Jesus. He said he "just couldn't".
Back about 1975, Michael Landon was on some talk show and said he didn’t believe in love. I hadn’t been much of a fan before but definitely wasn’t after that.
Landon was Jewish.
