Many people did. He wised up like so many others.
I still consider myself a Classic Liberal
If its consistent. Carson isn’t as conservative as I would like but he’s continuing a long term trend which makes him believable.
Wendy Day, (Ted Cruz’s Michigan campaign coordinator) Says her first vote was for a socialist. Her second was for Ronald Reagan and she’s never looked back. Today she’s a well known pro life conservative firebrand here in Michigan.
Good video, thanks.
I’m not surprised at this. It supports the theory that liberalism depends on a more childlike victim mentality in order to thrive and is something to wise up to and grown out of.
Dr. Carson knows better than ever that he can trust his instincts where he more accurately and precisely perceives reality in a mature adult world as a great American and human being.
Excellent video. Thanks.
But Reagan himself was a liberal until his GE spokesman days.
Excellent video
He is on the good list IMO
Country before Party — an AMerican First
Am beginning to see a pattern. Anyone else?
I don’t think Reagan was ever a liberal.
Thanks for posting!

Back in college, most of us were.
Carson isnt as conservative as I would like”
“He’s probably more conservative than most of the others. The rest pay lip service to the conservative wing of the Republican party, then when they get elected, vote the exact opposite. Only one Senator voted against the Corker bill and that was Tom Cotton.
I’m glad I went to a military college.
I loved that he brought up Saul Alinsky in the “debate”.
I want to hear the candidates talk about Alinsky, Cloward and Piven, communism, and getting our debt under control
My first election as an 18 yr old, I voted for McGovern and then for Jimmy Carter 4 yrs later. In 1980, I proudly voted for Ronald Reagan. I credit Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel for steering me in the right direction.
It doesn’t matter where you begin, it’s where you end up that counts.
I was a Henry Jackson Democrat even in high school. Back then I was a Cold War warrior who saw Brezhnev as being in league with Satan, as well as his predecessors. Having met some people who lived behind the Iron Curtain partly contributed to that as well. I was a senior in high school at the time of the 1972 Democratic Convention, and found some of the video to be somewhat disturbing - I questioned if the party was taken over by Communists.
