Hi AM! Took today off. Helping DIL get two kids to the dr. Took tomorrow off too. Mr S has an appt at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh (heart dr consult). Also, have to make peach jam today. It’s that time of year! My garden was a total bust. Deer got to almost everything. At least I’ll get a few onions and some unexpected pumpkins! I threw a pumpkin in the compost pile last fall, and new we have pumpkins growing in funny places!

Didn’t plant a garden this year.. after hooking up the rainwater catchment - installing all of those flex coupling..
just too much rain! Instead bought dehydrated vegetables 5lb at a time.

Well, Mr S did plant tomatoes, green beans and eggplant in our little greenhouse. Tomatoes and greens beans doing well. Eggplant not so much. Where do you get your dried vegetables? That’s starting to sound like a good plan!

Good morning,
I am embarrassed to admit it but I haven’t been able to catch the show. I’ve been at work every morning by 6 or 630 the last few weeks. Can someone fill me in on where Quinn stands with the candidates?? Thx!

He was just talking about Trump (isn’t everyone?!) Basically said Trump outed himself as a lib because of his support of socialized medicine. Quinn talks a lot about Carly Fiorina. He’s really impressed with her.

I’ll admit, I have a hard time listening because of getting ready for work. My best listening time used to be in the car in the way to work, when he was on the radio. Then, my tablet is dying and won’t let me access Quinn. My only way to listen at work.

Good morning!

Quinn just isn’t into Trump and I get that. For me it’s Cruz all the way. That said Trump IS sating what needs to be said and could give rat’s patootie what anyone says. Let them all demonize Trump and Cruz could slide in.

Same here with listening in the mornings. My schedule has changed so much it’s difficult to listen like I used to be able to do. Now it’s mostly podcasts when I’m making dinner.

My tablet has trouble getting the live show as well but the tablet is OK except for live streams. It gets some but some don’t work. I believe it’s the way the shows are encoded.

Yep, the dynamics have definitely changed for all of us.

I’m a Cruz supporter as well. I’m starting to hope for a Cruz/Walker ticket if it comes down to Cruz, but it’s far too early.

Good morning n’@ everyone!

Did you read about the NEW troubles in Ferguson MO last night? A vigil attendee opened fire on a an unmarked police car, shots exchanged, all hell broke lose again. Prep still alive, four cops on paid leave.

I only know THAT story because the BUCCOS WHOOPED UP on the LA Dodgers (swept the series!) but they came back and had a huge 7th inning—and I stayed up late to watch the end of the game. And now our BUCCOS are going to STL to play (and take over first place in the division). A little worried here that like last summer, the Ferguson riots will spill over into STL...

Anyways, I’m glad to learn that others have had morning radio issues as well. With 2 cars and 4 people w/jobs all I have done is drive. With repair expenses (did I ever tell yinz AC went out back around Memorial Day and furnace have to be replaced) the third car we need for son to commute to college can’t happen, so I have to carpool around my work schedule til end of Oct (I go on seasonal unemployment on 11/1—and my radio listening will be all I can afford the , ha!)

Great catching up w/the group this morning (I go in late today!)

I saw that. How odd. What’s a fair without the chicken exhibit?

Ugh! The AC went in our jeep. We decided to wait to get it fixed. As long as the heater still works. In the house we have air conditioners in every bedroom window and one of those rolling floor models. Needless to say, our electric bill was through the roof but, with one person having chf and one pregnant woman in the house, we had to keep it cool!

We had to get a new furnace three years ago. What a difference! Smaller and more efficient, and our heating bills went down! It’s painful to have to get a new furnace, but it pays off in the long run.
