WHAT’S THE SECRET TO DONALD TRUMP’S APPEAL? NATIONALISM
Breitbart ^ | 7 Aug 2015 | EZRA DULIS

Posted on 08/09/2015 6:22:17 PM PDT by Hojczyk

I liked Donald Trump before it was cool–or a controversy big enough to rival a dead lion, at least.

It was mostly a trollish fondness for his persona and its more bizarre iterations–but as he’s continued a truly shocking, unpredictable rise in the polls, there’s clearly something more to it than novelty.

.

At my very first CPAC, I watched a broadcast of the businessman and reality TV star’s speech, and his message stuck with me more than any of the politicians’ (or pizza executive’s) applause lines from the weekend.

In Thursday night’s debate, Trump hammered on a theme of his budding campaign: big-money donations have strings attached–take it from a guy who pulled them.

“I’ll tell you what, with Hillary Clinton, I said, ‘Be at my wedding,’ and she came to my wedding,” he said. “You know why? She had no choice because I gave.”

And, of course, very few big donors pull strings for favors as benign as a wedding RSVP (see: Peter Schweizer’s Clinton Cash). The big business types with enough disposable income to donate so much cash to politicians, like Trump himself, have operations around the world–and they’re not quite as concerned with America’s pride as DJT.

Indeed, as the Chamber of Commerce crowd has proven with support of a wage-depressing immigration law, they’re concerned with growth above all else. And the fastest path to their businesses’ growth does not include the step of “More Money for America’s Workers.” There’s a reason we don’t allow foreign nationals to donate to U.S. political campaigns. Trump is sounding the alarm on U.S. citizens whose interests and income can be effectively the same.

D.C./MSM and it’s well connected insiders do not like nationalism or a united America.

In fact they don’t like much of anything about a free America.

It’s all about control and dividing the united. It’s what it’s all about.

Folks, if Trump is a Leftist, why aren’t Leftists backing him?

Here’s just a partial list of people who are trying to take down Trump.

We can add Red State and Erik Erikson to the list too.

Trump is the worst guy ever, until you consider four names, Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney.

He’s the worst guy ever until you think of two men on capital hill, John Boehner and Mitch McConnell.

He’s the worst guy ever until you think Jeb Bush.

Then there’s Rick, Huckabee, some dude named Happy Gilmor, and others.

He’s the least self-controlled person you could imagine, until you think of Beck, Rosie O’Donnell, and others who have no self control when they talk about him.

Then there’s the media and supposedly Republican entities, who join the left to lie about Trump charging him with something he didn’t do.

There’s the nation’s media that hates him. In fact here’s a list of all the others who do.

Yep, everyone is taking the high road but Trump, and with him in power our nation will be at severe risk.

Strangely enough, our nation has been in the control of Democrats and Republicans for the last 150 years.

How’s it doing?

Priebus? Boehner? McConnell? How is it doing?

I look at what the nation looked like in January of 1989, and I can hardly recognize it. It’s closer to looking like 1930s Europe or 1916 Russia than 1776 New England.

Priebus, McConnell, Boenher, Dole, Bush, McCain, Romney, what did you do to make it better?

Damn that Trump. Look what he’s done to our nation.

It is someone willing to stand up and fight. A response to the fecklessness, duplicity and treachery of the country clubbers in control of the GOP.

Many here at FR have speculated that we are too far gone as a republic to get back "there" peaceably.

Trump is seen as the entertaining last hope before the excrement really hits the fan.
