Just when you thought Donald Trump‘s presidential run couldn’t get any more absurd, the real estate mogul embroils himself in a feud with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, and consequently turned the most influential voice of the online right into a humorless college student looking for a safe space. Redstate chief Erick Erickson has banned Donald Trump from the Redstate gathering over his offensive comments, an irony so rich, you could frost a gay wedding cake with it.
In response to Trump’s off-the-cuff comment about Kelly’s metaphorical bleeding orifices, Erickson took to the stage Saturday morning, and explained his decision to ban Trump:

He’s not “fooling” conservatives, he’s illuminating them.
Anyone that uses Leftist tactics against a political opponent (see: Barbour, Haley) isn’t conservative. They’re liberals.
Trump is helping voters thin the herd.
Don’t count out Bernie Sanders...hard to say who would be worse, him or Hillary. That being said, my guess is that Donald won’t run third party and Senator Cruz knows it. He is at least breathing some excitement into what could have been a very ho hum Republican primary.

Why do they want Trump stopped?.....Because He’ll stop the GOP/DEMOCRATIC gravy train and power in WAshingtons stronghold.......Trump or Cruz will investigate the corruption and bribery and prosecute the criminals that are ripping Americans off.....
Nothings off the table in bringing Trump and Cruz down as I see it.
There is a major revolt against the current Republican Party right now and rightfully so. .....Trumps the arms that swing to expose them for what they are....Go Trump...keep smoking them out!
Trump is his own worst enemy
This has nothing to do with political correctness. Trump is just an arrogant, narcissistic boor. We already have one in the White House, we don’t need another one, even if his political sensibilities are a vast improvement on BHO’s (which they are).
I personally am glad Trump stirred up the waters on immigration and crime, the incestuous nature of political power, and a few other things. People are angry about not being heard on these subjects by the political elite of both parties. He has tapped into that anger, which is very, very real. His having done that and even continuing doing that will have a good effect on those willing to distinguish themselves from the D.C. elite. But he is not himself the answer to the problem. Let’s see who rises to the challenge. You can be sure it won’t be Bush.

It would appear Kelly has an interest in spotlighting Trump around an inferred position of sexism. This is transparently not accidental.

If ‘pure’ conservatives (they present themselves that way) are so worried about a Trump 3rd party run, you’d think they’d be trying to persuade Trump supporters to support another candidate.

I beg to differ-— this has everything to do with political correctness-— The PC police are calling him a sexist and not even for what he actually meant or said— but are guessing his metaphor about blood from Megyn Kelly’s orifices to mean a certain orifice and then declaring that because he meant that orifice he is a sexist, misogynistic neanderthal..

There is nothing wrong with expecting someone who claims conservatism to treat people, especially the opposite gender, with basic respect.
My Presidential candidate WILL do that, and its only one of the many reasons Ted Cruz is the best choice.
I don’t currently have a leader at the present time and I’ll be damned if I’ll support another President who behaves just like the current one simply because he claims to be a conservative.
