Exactly. The headline is very misleading. The "unarmed" youth was actually armed with a 6,000 lb. SUV and got into an "altercation", a la Michael Brown of Ferguson fame, with the trainee cop. The headline made it sound as if this poor, innocent, gentle giant of a youth, was just minding his own business and was shot dead by a rookie cop. Not so.
This cop deserves a commendation and the full support of his department and union. He did what cops are hired to do: Protect and Serve.
