I think a third person wrote it, and that’s why it sounds like it was written in the 3rd person.

It’s a press release. That is how they are written.

“Nonsense. Trump is lying. We know what he meant.”

You have just joined the ranks of those who know what Trump thinks before he does himself.

“By the way, the guy (Erick Erickson) who made the decision about RedState called Supreme Court Justice David Souter a “goat [expletive] child molester” and First Lady Michelle Obama a “Marxist Harpy.” He was forced to make a humbling apology.

Also, not only is Erick a total loser, he has a history of supporting establishment losers in failed campaigns so it is an honor to be uninvited from his event. Mr. Trump is an outsider and does not fit his agenda.

Many of the 900 people that wanted to hear Mr. Trump speak tonight have been calling and emailing—they are very angry at Erickson and the others that are trying to be so politically correct. To them Mr. Trump says, “We will catch you at another time soon.””

If Trump was REALLY smart, he’d invite all the disenchanted redstate.com ticket holders to a Trump event just for them and at Trump’s expense AND invite the other candidates to attend to boot.

The press would go wild talking about this for days and the people would go wild for Trump doing stuff like this.

In fact, every time Trump is dissed, he should do something like this. He can afford it and the publicity would be priceless.

I hope so, but I don’t think a member of the GOPe can be sued for “bait and switch”.

Judging by history it’s all they know how to do.

Republican want someone like Trump.

When attacked first he defends himself like a man should.

As a martial arts practitioner, the best defense is good offensive action.

Trump can’t help it if he hits like a heavy weight.
Trump is fearless, and I think he can handle the Democrats and the media better than anyone else.

I respect his fight and lack of PC BS.

This website is far from collapsing.

The GOP has been dead since they decided to elevate folks like Boehnor, McConnell, McCarthy, et al to leadership positions.

Note the “900 people” reference. LOL. That is a clear shot at the smallish crowd.

“...where virtually every comment or piece of dialogue uttered seems to carry an ulterior or ironic meaning.”

Toss in the fact that so many folks now consider themselves “victims” ...and they’re a hair-trigger pull away from being offended...

Remember how HST handled a reporter who criticized his daughter Margret's piano performance. Here is his letter (read and enjoy:)

Mr Hume:

I've just read your lousy review of Margaret's concert. I've come to the conclusion that you are an "eight ulcer man on four ulcer pay."

It seems to me that you are a frustrated old man who wishes he could have been successful. When you write such poppy-cock as was in the back section of the paper you work for it shows conclusively that you're off the beam and at least four of your ulcers are at work.

Some day I hope to meet you. When that happens you'll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter below!

Pegler, a gutter snipe, is a gentleman alongside you. I hope you'll accept that statement as a worse insult than a reflection on your ancestry.

H.S.T.

I wonder how the PC police would have handled this today. We actually have had Presidents who had a pair and were not passive wimps who let these so-called journalists demean them or their families. Give'm Hell Donald.

And fly Rush in to moderate it.

That was a MAJOR blunder by Walker. The only good excuse I can think of that might explain it is that his wife made him do it.

It was on the news back there....and yes he did, something to do about an associate he was dealing with and these people were selling some property that Trump wanted and they said some damning remarks and he, I should say, had the business shut down over some rule of law, and bought the property....

Trump Towers to me, it was like going to Disneyland the first time...very bright, high classed, beautiful, just breath taking to me...

Gold, marble, plush, wood, RICH!!!

I have always admired Trump and have kept up on his goings and comings, read his books, been to Atlantic City to his casino...

The man is just amazing...you just don’t know what the man will do...or can do....

A few months after 9/11, I was in New York and heard many stories about what Trump was donating to people, I don’t know who the people were, but only good coming out of their mouths...

Trump fired back exactly as he should have.

I don't get how or why people jump to “menstrual blood” over an open-ended question. It's not like Trump doesn't leave a bunch of open-ended points as he interrupts himself (sarcasm).

Why don't these same perverts jump to the conclusion that Megyn wrote up leading questions and then ran for cover ‘as a woman under attack?’

“still haven’t gotten around to proper English in Appalachia?;-)”

Just went to a little local country hardware store. I asked what their hours were, and the owner said “I close when I get a notion to.”

I love the local sayings and accents. Even better, they are true conservatives, unashamedly so. I’ve been asked several times straight out how I vote and when I make it clear that I’m no liberal, I get told they’re glad we moved here. I even got a free oil change too!

Trump said he wants Trey Gowdy in justice. Haven't seen a response from Trey.

The rest is my daily changing speculation. I modify as people stick their foot in their mouth, and also upon advice from fellow freepers.

Walker better be careful.. Kelly was wrong not Trump..

I finally watched the back and forth between Kelly and Trump this morning. You are right. It’s not so much what she said it was how she said it and where she was going with it. She failed and did herself serious damage in the process. Trump doesn’t allow gotchas, and it was clear by her method of follow up, that is what she was doing. She was not going to give up and she exposed her agenda by going a little “Rain Man”* on him.

That part, I like a lot. And attacking back was good, but it has to be controlled and disciplined. Therein lies the trouble with Trump. He does not have the restraint a politician has to have. That quote last night is a perfect example. I have not idea what he intended to say with the blood comment, but once it’s in print, the pile on will create a new intent and it’s giving new ammunition to push him down or out.

I want Trump around a little longer, but he’s not helping himself now. He needed to strike back forcibly and then move on.
