Poor schmucks doing less are being punished every day.

I haven’t seen any ‘stupidly’ comments coming from the White House.

Who is going to jail? When a company screws up this bad, it is a crime. They are sued or jailed. When the EPA does it, it is a “tragedy”.

The irony here is that most residents of Durango are Liberal schmucks. Schmuck vs schmuck. A real slap fight is in the offing.

He indicated that the debris may have burst through anyway if it had not been dealt with by somebody.

That sure as hell is going to make the townspeople really happy.

Don’t think you can successfully sue a government employee.

I think you're mostly right, I believe you need to get the government (agency?) to agree to legal action before the suite can proceed.

I've never heard of it happening as they can stiff you until you run out of money to keep your lawyers on the case.

Regards,
GtG

Does anyone know why they were digging here?

Were there pollutants leeching out of the mine?

Was the EPA looking for someone to harass?

Was the EPA looking for someone to harass?

The answer to that question is always yes.

Sometimes they may locate an actual problem but it is more in the nature of "blind squirrel" while they were looking for someone to harass.
