He did fine, especially since the Foxes were gunning for him from the first minute. But he can really add some zap to some of his points with a few more facts to support them.
People look at the surface and think they are seeing the “workings” of negotiation. Most have not been in a high stakes negotiation and were successful. You give away NOTHING unless it is less important to you than what you get back. What would Trump get back? Full commitment to him as the leading candidate? So if he would sign that pledge...what does he get in return? NOTHING! This is why Obama and Kerry should not negotiate the Iran deal. They get a signed piece of paper for Obama’s “legacy” and Iran gets the bomb. Hell of a deal, huh? (Amateurs!)
It was like demanding that I as a voter pledge to vote for the GOPe nominee in Nov regardless of who it is..

Why talk about it anymore? It’s pretty obvious (& not news) that, not only is he ‘’not going to be treated fairly’’, they will do- & try, everything they can come up with- no matter how unethical, ridiculous, or insane, to destroy his bid for the presidency.

so the pledge was an “Iran deal” to Trump..
That would have taken the air right out of their sails.
Trump got smoked out within the first couple of minutes of his first debate. He wants leverage over the process more than he wants to do the hard work necessary to win the nomination.
We’ll see how much full throated support JEB gives the nominee if it’s Trump, Cruz or Walker.

When Kelly ask Trump about his misogyny to women, he was being asked to defend the the un-defendable. It’s not politically correct.
However, the Democrats and their media defend the baby body part market and the sanctuary cities.
Which would you rather be asked to defend?

I don't think so. Those two different attempts by "Big Donors" to either keep him out of the first debate, or to have the other candidates "take him out" in the first debate, were very real and widely reported.
He's just defending himself and keeping his options open when it is very obvious that some Republican donors are trying to sabotage his campaign. And it doesn't look like the RNC is knocking back any of those donors.
To quote the Democrats from last time around: “party unit my a$$”. I don’t care who the Republican nominee is. If it is an establishment RINO, I’m staying home on Election Day. I’m done supporting the Dole/Bush/McCain/Romney style candidate. If the GOP puts forth a RINO, then the party needs to die. Period.
He’ll do what Bushes do - sneak attacks on Republicans and silence or praise for Democrats.
Bush 1 - destroyed Reagan’s progress

I agree, but some big names would have to lead the exodus to start a successful new party.

Trump knows exactly what he is doing. He could of come down harder on the Republican Establishment, but he tempered his remarks because he is still hoping the Republicans will come around to their conservative roots. He is not ready to kiss them off just yet. He holds his ace as a ‘trump’ card to keep them from attacking him, which is exactly what they would do in a heart beat if he agreed to be stupid and play their game. He knows the Republican Establishment hate him and they will try to destroy him and launch an all out attack on him if he doesn't maintain leverage over them. Now he is scaring the hell out of them. He knows how to play poker unlike Turtleface who announces up front to his adversaries that he will not allow the government to shut down over defunding the baby butchers.
Romney - Republican Moderate - LOSER!
We all held our nose and most voted for them.

Why SHOULD he take a pledge from ANY bias network?
So much I wish he would have said, especially the degrading attempt by Kelly to get in the ‘pretty on your knees’ comment.
I wish Trump would have said, “I think you have me confused with President Bill Clinton.”
Would have been a great one-liner.
