I would have said, “Look, we’re not breaking families up. Any responsible parent would take their children with them. If they leave their childen in the USA — then they are breaking up their own families.”
Exactly. I’ve never understood that argument. An American businessman who is stationed in Japan takes his kids home when he goes.
Why isn’t that plenty good for illegals here?
Exactly. Repatriation is the way to keep the family together. You can deport US born children with their family if they are under 21. The only way they can stay is if they have a guardian.
