German Police Warn of De Facto No-Go Zones

Spiraling levels of violent crime perpetrated by immigrants from the Middle East and the Balkans are turning parts of Duisburg, a key German industrial city, into “areas of lawlessness”—areas that are becoming de facto “no-go” zones for police, according to a confidential police report that was leaked to the German news magazine Der Spiegel.

The report, produced by the police headquarters of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany (and also the state with the largest Muslim population in Germany), warns that the government is losing control over problem neighborhoods and that the ability of police to maintain public order “cannot be guaranteed over the long term.”

Duisburg, which has a total population of around 500,000, is home to an estimated 60,000 mostly Turkish Muslims, making it one of the most Islamized cities in Germany. I wonder how Hitler would have handled these ‘no-go’ zones?

the-frightening-new-proposal-to-intern-muslim-citizens.html Terrorist violence can make the previously unthinkable suddenly seem acceptable. The levels of surveillance introduced after 9/11 could have been considered reasonable only in the climate of collective panic that the attacks induced. But this week’s reaction to the fatal shooting of four Marines and a Navy petty officer in Chattanooga, Tennessee, by a 24-year-old Muslim has to win the prize for the worst proposed civil liberties
infringement to come out of a violent disruption. No matter
how high tensions may have run after the Boston Marathon bombing or 9/11, few dared to propose what figures of both left and right have now suggested: the segregation and internment of Muslim citizens.

The College Hill area has historically been riot-prone. You’re right on your observation.

I live part time and work between Berlin and Dresden. The old generation Turks are not the problem. The newly imported Turks are a mess are are the second generation of shiftless jobless Turks. Wherever the gypsies go trouble follows. I could see why the police would just stay out of those neighborhoods. Keep them in there and leave them to their own devices.

Here’s what needs to happen. A bunch of the Chamber of Commerce businesses need to get destroyed and looted by those emanating from the no-go zones in the U.S. before they give up their lust for cheap third-world labor.

I’d argue we have had “no go” zones for decades. Absolutely they are near me and growing.

Think a moment: where are there currently such zones near you?

There's one up by Pine Ridge. That's Wazí Aháŋhaŋ Oyáŋke in Lakota.
