Why Hasn’t Louis Farrakhan Been Arrested Yet?

It’s been nearly a week since Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan called on his followers to rise up and kill their perceived enemies, and the silence of the Obama Justice Department has been deafening. Likewise, the MSM has been shamefully quiet, too — as if this is acceptable behavior for the leader of a 50,000-strong denomination. It most certainly isn’t.

Farrakhan’s shocking words came during a July 30 speech at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Miami:

“The Koran teaches persecution is worse than slaughter. Then it says, retaliation is prescribed in matters of the slain. Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breaths of those whose children have been slain,” Farrakhan said.

“So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling,” he added.

In case the message wasn’t clear enough, the hateful clip was posted on Farrakhan’s Facebook page Monday with the blunt hashtag “#JusticeOrElse.”

Oh man. You could do a "______________" fill in the blank and have a tome thicker than a Funk&Wagnells of names that could be asked the same question of.

“Freedom of speech” might come into play.

Why is Wolcott being allowed to speak at a (nominally, at least) Christian church? Must not be Christian then.

I think the question was answered in the first line. It’s been nearly a week since he tried to incite violence and nothing has happened. Arresting him would legitimize him, ignoring him castrates him.

Blacks are moving beyond the ordinary reach of governance. The Anglo American has abdicated his right to self defense and the black is moving into the position once occupied by Medieval Lords.

He may have freedom of speech, except when he incites violence or criminal activity.

“So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling,

Since there is so much black on black murder, could Louie be speaking about other blacks? Just askin'

Because you have to demonstrate a specific threat and a means and opportunity to carry it out. “I’m going to kill you” (I know that’s not exactly what he said. What he said was “less”) standing alone isn’t enough.

And the stretch to a charge of “inciting violence” is an even longer one.

In short, he hasn’t committed any crime.

I ask my congressman that very question.

Does freedom of speech apply when you're inciting violence?

You really want to know why he has not been arrested?

I asked that same question in 1980....He's been doing this for 36 years that I know of, maybe longer..

Yes, but there are court recognized limits. . .and he exceeded those limits by specifically calling for murder.

The violence must take place before one may be accuse of inciting it, no? We'll have to wait for people in attendance to seek out and kill others on the basis of Farrakhan's words, and prove that it was his words alone that were the motivation. Good luck arresting him ahead of those factors.

No, Farakhan is a lunatic and has been saying crazy stuff for years and blacks have not acted upon his foolishness. Some just go and hear him speak you are taking what the media is feeding if you take him too seriously.

The real problem is that the Baptist church let him speak there. Church members must buy into this crap. How can we prosecute Farrakhan?

From the article at WND:

The fact that Farrakhan made his remarks at a black church is even more troubling to Peterson, himself an ordained minister.

“That indicates that these men and women agree with his hate speech. There is no way you can believe in God and applaud and cheer for a demagogue,” he said. “There’s no way you can be a Christian and listen to someone who encourages you to hate your fellow man. That is not showing love. The people listening to Farrakhan need to repent. These people are encouraging the next generation to hate whites. At this rate, this race issue will never end.”

Actually, I believe it is “protected free speech”. . . at least until you publicly declare the same toward him and his family.

We disagree.

Freedom of speech—you are free to say almost anything except speech that is obscene, slanders another person, or has a high probability of inciting others to take imminent lawless action.

Fara-can-can speaking to “his people” is inciting others to take imminent lawless action. Just look at his “people”. . .they are barely civil (if at all), and hatred runs deep and foul, and they are being called to kill NOW.

How do you know "blacks have not acted upon his foolishness"?

I would say that common sense might indicate just the opposite.
