I am thinking this might be an ongoing issue that wasn’t mentioned on Mr. McComas’s FB post...maybe a “boat parked in driveway for weeks” type thing. Rohnert Park has muni code specifying that boats/RVs/other vehicles move every 72 hours or be parked in a side yard behind a fence or in a garage. https://goo.gl/W7sbDG

If so, the cop would’ve come out and mentioned that, e.g. “there have been complaints about your boat blocking the street” or ask him to move it, or give him a ticket or something similar.
Since that did not happen we can conclude there was NO reason.
