The great thing about the excuse-making machines both of this admin and the Clintons is that they are rolling, dynamic, free-form entities capable of improvising along with the likes of John Coltrane or Ornette Coleman. They can make up stories, like Rod Serling or Isaac Asimov, spanning multiple dimensions, omitting fairly obvious details related to such things as credibility or likelihood, and take us on wonderful flights of fancy, of truly creative politico-fiction.
