This might be the only way to stop Donald Trump
Washington Times ^ | July 27, 2015 | Steve Deace

I was there in the audience when Donald Trump made his unfortunate comments about John McCain’s war record as a POW. (SNIP) Similarly, most of Mr. Trump’s support is people of various factions and persuasions rightfully fed up with being fed up. They don’t care that Mr. Trump is no movement conservative, because they’ve watched most of the Republicans they’ve elected ignore or violate the party platform once in office anyway. Mr. Trump is not their noble champion, but their instrument to strike back against a political party that has betrayed them time and time again.

Isn’t that the truth.

Old as history, are the efforts to kill the brave dragon slayer.

Is Trump faultless? Probably not, but he is the only hope right now for dismantling the usual election clout of the Establishment/media/K Street/COC types.

I for one am very grateful.

More GOPe whistling past the graveyard.

They said all this about Reagan too.

If Trump decides to run as a third party candidate then I predict that the GOP candidate will finish last behind Trump and the rat nominee. I say this, because Trump will only run third party if the GOP elites give us another liberal RINO.

In this situation, I can guarantee you that Trump will get more votes than the GOPe candidate.

Can’t tell where he comes down on this but the Brown analogy is not accurate or fair. Trump is engaging Republicans and the public to become president. He has shown success so far, the public has been forgiving, if that is even needed, for him being a bit rough, but plain honest. People don’t care that he is not a purest on any given topic. The naysayers need to get onboard as the alternative is the demise facing Bush III, Rubio, and the others.

There is absolutely nothing “Reagan-like” about Trump!

No, he won’t get hoodwinked by Congress on immigration like Reagan did.

Is it just me, or is the Washington Times website one of the worst out there? Not content, but so many blocked popups and embedded vids that it never fully loads and often locks my computer up. I can maybe read half an article before it implodes.

And we don't think based on Trump's past statements that he will not do the same? Are you asking us to be total idiots again?

Au Contraire. He is very charismatic. And charisma alone will win elections.

Exactly. McConnell, Boehner, McQueeg and all of the Establishment quislings that follow them are directly responsible for the attractiveness of Donald Trump. Payback's a bitch.

Charisma cant run the country, unless you’re satisfied with the ditch we’re in.

If Trump is stopped, we will revert to the uniparty candidates, who will neither discuss nor fix America’s problems.

There is in the communication department. He’s a master at marketing. That’s 2/3rds of the battle in winning the White House. Exhibit A...Obama’s campaign.

Trump is no Reagan politically, but he may be on the campaign trail. He’s hiring the right people and putting them in the right places. No one can claim that in the GOP since Reagan. Our campaign teams have been full of half-brained idiots for almost 3 decades. GWB has the closest thing to a decent organization, but it was still timid. They should have blown out Kerry in 2004.

There’s tons of sites like that now, and the only way to read them is with firefox or chrome and a slew of addons.

I use firefox 35.01 (don’t recommend later versions) with adblock plus, element hiding helper, cookieculler, betterprivacy, refcontrol, and a few others.

I get around that problem by clicking on the ‘Reader View’ icon on the Firefox browser. Just the text is left.
