I'm willing to bet that at least half the Freepers here can relate incidents of being teased or picked on when they were in school.

For me, the reasons ran the whole course from being skinny, poor at sports (guess what? I practiced and got way better), having a funny sounding last name, a different religion, being shy, my father's occupation, etc., etc.

Guess what? Most of us adapted, grew up and got over it. Some of us even thrived. In the end, I got elected student body president and graduated 14th in class of 144.

Others gave up, turned to drugs, alcohol and bed wetting liberalism.
