Basically you just need to show up at least half the time and you will get your diploma. The high schools, at least the public ones, just want to move you through and out.

Will she be ungrateful when she is offered Food Stamps or subsidized housing or free transportation to and from work? Will she refuse the $15 an hour wage that she won't be deserving of, but which democrats will vote to get for her?

Sounds like she and her former school share some things common. She didn’t care enough to even show up so why should they care enough to fail her and save a spot for her to be re-educated? Baby girl’s diploma will take her exactly as far as she deserves to go.
