Trump: What's the Deal = Hillary: The Movie?

This could be interesting. If, and I say if there is anything even approaching Romney/Bain Capital (even if it deals with something in a different area of the ballpark so to say) it may be curtains for Trump.

America will always choose what they perceive to be a corrupt socialist (Hillary), even if this isn't true, over what they may perceive to be a tin-eared --- even if this isn't true.

I was in on the debate in the Super PAC that bought and distributed the Bain film and made it an issue. I was the only consultant to say NO NO NO NO NO WTF are you DOING?

This expose almost certainly is a little different than the Bain Capital film.....all Mitt did at Bain was down size when it was necessary to save a company. Some of those companies rebounded and then UPSIZED. To my knowledge, there wasn’t so much of a crony aspect to Bain or a corrupt aspect. Just the reality of the free market.

If we are to believe this story, and I’m not saying I do, there will be a crony and a corrupt aspect to Trumps ‘dealings. We shall see.

"may be curtains for Trump"

I am not one of those Trump supporters that is adamant that nothing will come out on the man's past that is fatal.

But, I will say...issuing payola to politicians to further one's interests is not foreign to American politics.

A PROPOSED Trump response could be: Would you rather vote for the John or the Whore?

Trump grew wealthy during the 80's, the start of the "me generation" of moneymakers, and the "decade of greed". In it, he was revealed to be "the opposite of a small-government conservative" and someone who'd made money "on the backs of taxpayers".

Does it occur to anyone what this reveals?

Why were the 80s described this way?

"PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN"

The Leftist narrative was that if anyone was very successful during this period, it was because of greed and abusing the lower class via trickle down economics.

If it wasn't for guys like Trump back then, the economy would not have rebounded under Reagan.

Trump? Why damn him of course...

What else can you do when you've got guys like Carter and Mondale to champion your cause?

The Huffington Post should tell their readers what Mrs Huffington was doing in the 80`s

I’ve been wise to the Trump game for 30 years. I’ll pass on him.

Hard to take this seriously I doubt that any of us are the same as we were 25 years ago.

Live and learn. I know I have.

Trump, even back in the 1980s set out to do something and he accomplished his goals. Scandalous.

It's too late. Normal folk are more interested in Trump doing for the nation in the next few years what he did for himself over his career.

The commie libs have got to be going through boxes and boxes of Huggies over Donald Trump. That’s a good thing for the manufacturers of Huggies.

It has become the grand scavenger hunt to find something, anything, to stop Trump. More than his stated positions, his beliefs.. The people coming after him have lost perspective and are solely focused on things like some shadowy event from a quarter century ago. Probably these folks are personally afraid of Trump, either because of their lack of influence with him, or that he may know something about their past they don’t want coming out.

Yeah, well, instead of someone who made money and created enterprises, some of which failed, some of which succeeded magnificently, let’s instead elect someone who armed our declared enemies and allowed her own personnel to die rather than to protect them. So >>SHE<< could make money selling arms to our enemies. And set much of the Mideast on fire while she was doing her grand works. Someone who, you know, thinks that laws do not apply to them when they carry on State Dept on her very own server and refuse to give up emails that are de facto government property.

To pick nits on DT, hell, you’ll find some nits. Yet Trump could in fact serve as a great example of the always-denigrated intolerance of Conservatives in that we actually CAN welcome someone who once held liberal views but has awakened to the terrible quandaries facing the US and has changed his views. If *THAT* line is issued, then all the stuff he supposedly did in the 80’s shrivels away as in “we don’t care*. We’re moving on. That’s what progressives like to do and say that conservatives can not do, right?

WHY CAN’T conservatives overlook these “wrongs” in his past? Is there the slightest concern on the left as to the crap that HRC has carried out? Does anything she has done...and not 25 years ago (though there is plenty of that) but 2, 3, and 6 MONTHS ago register as some irreversible wrong she has committed? This assiduousness in going over Trump with a forensic scalpel is not strength and will not build strength. Let us not self-immolate over stuff the left would never give two s**ts about.

I say this not as a die-hard Trump supporter or even any kind of Trump supporter. I want him in the race, doing exactly what he is doing, exactly how he is doing it. This talk about him going third party? Look, if Trump does not get the nomination and instead Jeb does, that is enough right there to guarantee a HRC win, because I will assure anyone listening, Jeb Bush will produce the worst GOP electoral defeat in 2 generations. And I have been saying that for 6 months or more. Jeb Bush is a fatal candidate. He has ZERO appeal. None, zero. I’d rather see Bob Dole run. Yes, in 2016. If he’s still breathing. Even if he’s not.

I’ll say it again: Supporters of a candidate can try to run down the competition all the way to the ground, it still isn’t going to elevate their chosen candidate to a win. If anything, it alienates people. It’s very poor sportsmanship.

Agreeing with Trump aside, it does matter that no one owns him- or can. Any other candidate, raking in donations, multi millions per donor- doesn’t look good. As if those donors don’t have a special interest in mind. What about the interests of We, the people- who *don’t* have millions of dollars to buy favors?

We all know what’s wrong with this & we know that it *isn’t* “different” when our candidate does it- whether we lie to ourselves about it or not.
