I'm also seeing more cases of good shots - but also bad shots than in the past. I partially blame bad instructors for that as well.

It gives one reason to pause when I, as a hobbyist, am being solicited at the range for shooting tips from someone who has successfully completed the state mandated firearms training course for armed security guards.

I go to the range before they open to the public and shoot on the opposite side of the range from security guards qualifying. I can tell you they need all the pointers they can get. They only shoot once a year and it shows.

Practice, practice practice.
It’s the only way to be proficient at anything.
