“If all Trump accomplishes is to end the caravan of Bush, Romney, McCain pretend conservatives, that is enough for me. Some day the GOP will learn that this is not a game of musical chairs. I’d rather see Bernie Sanders than Jeb Bush. And, if it takes a third party to derail the national GOP train, so be it.”

ditto.

Extreme liberals want Trump! Yes, you nailed it in one.

The 0’s smell one of their own.

Being lied to we are.

I will never vote for a liberal. Trump is a liberal.

Thank you for not voting for McCain and Romney. I wasn't as strong as you, alas.

The guy has balls .... and isn’t afraid to come out swinging:

So ballsy is he that he wants to deport and then expedite back the non "criminal" illegals that he thinks are "terrific".

That's amnesty for ~19 million and that's why the MSM push polls are pushing Trump.

The problem with so many people is they are so attracted to colorful packages, a smoke and mirrors magic man, they rarely learn what you see is not what you will get.

Trump is going to get eaten alive in the debates. Unlike his followers, he won’t be able to hide from his past. Millions will watch the debates and won’t have Trumpist enforcers hanging over them to correct wrong thinking.

The simple fact is that there are a lot of people who like what Trump is saying but would never seriously consider voting for him (myself included)

None of those experiences is comparable to Trump’s.

Donald Trump is NOT an up-by-his-bootstraps guy. His sister is a Federal Judge in New Jersey. I don’t deny that he has been very successful, and I hear he’s very lovely in real life. But, I don’t think he’s a serious minded person, except in terms of making money, I don’t think he’s a reliable conservative, although he may hold conservative views on some subjects, I don’t think he’s thought through the issues of the day in any sober minded manner.

I see him as yet another vanity candidate, akin to Ben Carson, and Fiorna too who couldn’t win the Senate (governorship?, I forget which office she ran for).

Like I said yesterday all Trump is doing right now is sucking up the air from what is really a good group of candidates.

I understand that people are liking him because he is shouting some truths from the rooftops, but I’m sure that in his heart-of-hearts he’s committed to the status quo, as much as any Bush or Clinton.

The Clintons are of course crooks, which the Bushes and Trumps are not, so they are worse that the others by far.

Obviously you haven’t taken your own advice. What is his family’s connection to judge Alito? Where did the money come to finance the initial family fortune? How much money have the Trumps contributed to Veteran projects? To building hospvital? Who in the family built affordable houses for middle class in Queens making sure each had a little something to make them a home?

There are over 90 posts on the Trump History thread and Ill bet you haven’t read one of them. At least some of us are actually doing vetting of candidates instead of running our negative mouths and attacking fellow candidates on the democrat memo “he’s a liberal”
I’m embarrassed for you!

so, don’t vote again and get us hillary or uncle joe

You're like a dumb dog on a long leash, aren't you? Like the barnyard dog in the Foghorn Leghorn cartoons who never figures out that if he runs past a certain distance, the leash is going to yank him to a halt. Just like that dog, you keep on, year after year, stupidly thinking that those who refused to vote for the Republican party to turn hard left, "got us" Democrat leftist presidents (you never complete the sentence, "... instead of Republican leftist presidents.")

Meanwhile, you vote again and again and again and again to make the Republican party lefter and lefter, and when more and more SMARTER PEOPLE THAN YOU figure out what you have yet to discern and refuse to vote to turn the GOP hard left, guess what happens? The Democrat wins by default because people smarter than you refuse to vote for something (Republican leftsits who want more and bigger government) that will harm America and themselves.

Meanwhile, you keep on voting FOR such things stupidly thinking you're voting "against" something or another. Bert, you really are brick-wall dense.

The national GOP train got derailed by a third party run once before and the result was Clinton. Same result this time ... Clinton.

And the national GOP train will get back on the tracks to power, fame, and money. Meanwhile, the third party will disappear until the next time the Dems need to activate it to win.

“I’d rather see Bernie Sanders than Jeb Bush.”

Sadly, me too. How insane is that? Well, it’s insanity brought on by the traitorous GOPe elites in DC. They nominate Jebbie Bush at their own peril, ‘cause there’s no way I’m voting for another Bush.

“I will NOt vote for him.”

And thus you will remain in “the rut”. Where it appears you belong. Too bad you are trying to bring us down with you, into therut. Sad really.

I’m feeling way too exuberant to remain in your rut. Go Donald!

actually being for Bernie is vindictive stupidity.

Any Republican candidate is better for America.

Of course America doesn’t matter...... only personal self esteem matters when it comes to vindictive action or inaction

I’m embarrassed for you!

Why is your first resort intemperate remarks against a fellow conservative?

Someday you'll learn to your sorrow and perhaps to my sorrow and to the sorrow of the nation as well that Donald Trump is simply not worthy of descending to personal remarks. Just because he does it does not mean you should. After all, you are a conservative.

If Trump could somehow get nominated, there will be a Bush-Clinton or Clinton-Bush “ticket of national salvation”.

I don’t plan to vote for Trump in the primaries, but I’d definitely vote for him over Hillary (or any other Democrat) in the general election. I’d also vote for Trump if Jebbie is the GOP nominee, and Trump decided to make a third party bid.

The moderate (aka leftist) Republicans do not support conservatives even when conservatives fairly win primaries. The moderate Republicans use every political trick in the book to crush conservatives, and side with Democrats to defeat us. I don’t see why I should show any loyalty in return.

I’d rather see the GOP rent in two than vote for the likes of Jeb Bush. If that gets us a Hillary, so be it. I don’t like being called a crazy or a hater by leaders of my own party. In fact, it infuriates me to the point where I just don’t care enough to worry about the possible downside of a President Trump. Can he possibly be worse than amnesty Jeb or Hillary the crook? I don’t think so.

I agree with everything you just stated in your reply.

Suppose the choice is not between Trump and Jeb Bush but between Trump and Cruz or Trump and Walker, what is your choice then?
