Walker floats cabinet picks: Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Mitch Daniels

DANA POINT, Calif. — Scott Walker said Saturday that he loves the “team of rivals” concept employed by Abraham Lincoln when it comes to building a cabinet.

The Wisconsin governor told mega donors at the Koch donor network summit here that he would look to other Republicans seeking the nomination if elected, specifically former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and “any of the governors I’ve worked with.”

“There’s a great team of people I’d take from this field of candidates,” he said. “We could plug them right into the next administration.”

Asked if there is a person who reflects Walker’s national security vision, he cited former Missouri senator Jim Talent, who has been advising him.

I’m more interested in the type of Judges and Justices he’d appoint to the courts.

We already have 6 disastrous ones sitting at the SCOTUS.

Trump was a democrat during the era of GW Bush, that’s interesting. I knew he despised him.

Early on Scott Walker abandoned his college career earning 94 credits out of the 128 needed to work full time for the Red Cross. That was very generous of him but imho he has not lived up to his full potential simply by never even attempting to finish up his college work-in doing this he shows me that he has not made full use of the God-given intellect and talents imho there’s no excuse for that. You can only get on by speechifying, looks and hail hearty well fellow met for so long.

College is NOT a career, it may be a means to an end. It certainly shouldn't be a career, in any event!!!! Why do you think he has not made full use of his God-given intellect and talents.

Do you think that working for the Red-Cross was a charitable thing. Maybe he sized an opportunity that he was presented and has made the best of that means to an end in a way that made more sense to him at the time. It could be that he judged that the collage path he was on wasn't going to get him what he wanted in the long term. We make decisions for ourselves all of the time.

He’ll demand that Trump apologize for all the world to see.

You don't really believe that Perry is that stupid, do you? That would be like giving Babe Ruth a slow hanging curve ball that didn't curve at all. I'm not a Trump fan by any means but that would be a real gift to Trump.

Hopefully Trump will not fall for the set-up.

When has Trump not responded to an attack with an attack of his own?

Political donation is one way we have a say in who is elected and not elected.

By wanting someone because they aren’t obliged to anyone hold its own risks.

People don’t always do things because of money.

You need to ask what is their history.

I expect no less from Trump. His choices will be top notch. He’s no fool. They will be the best of the best in their respective fields.

Reagan was a great president because he picked highly qualified people, set a few goals, gave them the needed authority and then refrained from micromanaging.

His only screw up was in the choice of his running mate.

Good idea. Put your vision and the type of individuals out there for America to see and to consider. Not all are professional politicians riding the marxist merry-go-round amassing other peoples money via BIG GOVERNMENT. HOORAY Scott Walker.

Former Intel Corp. CEO Craig Barrett on Friday defended the decision by GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina to lay off thousands of workers and ship jobs overseas as a necessary business move when she was head of Hewlett-Packard Co.

Wow, breaking news: one overpaid U.S. job killing @$$H0le supports another overpaid U.S. job killing @$$H0le !

I've never heard of that happening before!

Mitch Daniels brought full day kindergarten to Indiana. That’s one strike against him.

.

Again ... Donald Trump is the defacto Conservative leader (I didn't say he is perfect) ...

Trump announces that Trey Gowdy is his Attorney General ...

and the other GOP candidates (reluctantly) start to announce theirs ...

Clearly, a game of "follow the leader" ...

Other than that, Walker's picks are fine !

Clearly, you’re stumping for Trump.

“.......Asked about some of his Cabinet choices, should he be chosen as GOP nominee and elected next November, Walker named fellow hopefuls Fiorina and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, as well as former Missouri Sen. Jim Talent and former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, who was also in attendance.......”

Fiorna could fit at Commerce although it’s not that important. Or US Trade Rep. I don’t think she’s the ace we need at the Treasury Department.

HHS is ideal for Carson and really the only spot he’s qualified for.
