When President Obama signed a law yesterday funding federal transportation projects for the next three months, he lamented that the United States did not have a five-year federal plan for transportation—and warned Congress that “big, powerful countries” like the Peoples Republic of China did not do it the way the U.S. is doing it now.

I don’t think Obama is going to dump every federal agency and environmental policy to build massive new dams and coal plants.

It’s a hero’s work you were doing down there, prowling, waiting, listening, hunting.
That was never the plan. And those funds have always gone into the general fund anyway; just another in the long list of Ponzi schemes like social “security”, the airport trust fund, ad nauseam. Privatization (i.e. actually in private hands, not the way the government “privatizes” into the hands of its handpicked cronies) is the answer.

DoD has had 5 yr plans since WWII, but the Obama Administration has yet to present a budget on time.
Just look at those vacant cities and overbuilt steel factories, all built according to communist 5 year plans.

One of the projects was widening Hwy 76 from Oceanside city limit through Bonzall. The county had the project ready to go.

A quick glance reveals Wiki declared most of them to be great successes for USSR... right up until it collapsed.
Pretty much the same for the China plans (but no collapse so far.)

What with the US “Uniparty” propping up Red China for decades, the collapse will of course be delayed, but still inevitable.
