Just saying, there are many many people who agree with you.

But as we all know, the ability to "answer questions" doesn't determine popularity or elections.

The debates will make or break him. But he has a ton of specifics. You just have to look past the headlines and actually dig a little to find them. (Just like every other candidate)

Like what, exactly. I listened to an interview linked on here...

He gave no specifics on how Mexico would pay for the wall.

We know he has kinda flipped on Amnesty.

Nothing on Obamacare except repeal and replace.

Nothing with Iran except to bomb oil fields...

What am I missing?

I remember going to a local GOP Event to watch the first Bush / Gore Debate back in 2000.

Half the People there were practically cringing hoping that Bush wouldn’t say something Stupid and blow it. Everyone knew how Bush talked and mangled the Language, yet somehow he beat smooth as glass Gore come Election time.

This Debate will be interesting because with the exception of Cruz and possibly Fiorina, everyone on that Stage including the Moderators hate Trump more than they hate Hillary. Well, the Moderators probably love Hillary.

As Doris Day sang, Que Sara Sara, whatever will be will be.

Thank you.

You are right...personality often Trumps (pardon the pun)...look at Obama.

But, if he goes toe to toe with guys like Cruz, he will get crushed.

And, when his past is exposed, he has a lot to answer for as well

There are many ways he can poke a hole in his own boat. Everybody has blind spots.

September 16 will be the only real debate:

Moderators: Jake Tapper, Hugh Hewitt,

I’m sure Hewitt was looking forward to moderating that debate.

I’m also sure his enthusiasm has been tempered with The Donald doing so good.

A political commentary on the Fox News 2016 GOP Presidential Debates for next Thursday (August 6, 2015 @ 9:00 PM-EST).

======================================

The 2016 GOP Presidential Candidate field better get ready for a can of Donald Trump's "You're Fired !" ...

Why ?

The "conventional" MSM wisdom is that Trump entered the race on a whim ... and will simply continue his bombastic style at the first Fox News GOP Presidential Debate next Thursday.

That "conventional wisdom" a recipie for disaster for the other GOP Candidates.

Consider this.

Trump's new book will be released next Thursday (August 6, 2015) .... which means that Trump made the "presidential run decision" OVER A YEAR AGO ... to get a book written, edited and published in 365 days.

Indeed, Trump probably had to start the book project at least 18 months ago.

Fast forward to the "politically predictable" first GOP Presidential Debates on Fox News.

Trump has had between 12 and 18 months to secretly prepare for this game-changing debate.

Trump's opponents are all looking for "silver bullet" to nail Trump in the debate, to salvge their own struggling campaigns.

So how does Donald Trump prepare ?

Get 12-18 months of the BEST POSSIBLE briefings on foreign policy, military readiness, economic status, Common Core, Planned Parenthood, illegal immigration crime stats, ISIL, Israel, Export-Import bank, TPA-TTP ... the works ...

and if-when a John Kasich / Mike Huckabee / Marco Rubio type tries to nail Trump on a "technical question" ... Trump blasts them with both barrels with facts and statistics of his own ...

just like a "legitimate" U.S. Presidential Candidate is expected to.

Moreover, Trump has (probably) already secretly created a special campaign website (to be announced at the debate) with an easy simple-to-remember name like "AmericanVictory.org" (as an example).

Fifty million (50,000,000) GOP voter internet visits later ... Trump will have spelled-out (with pictures and quick two minute videos) his "detailed" approach to a dozen different national issues.

Trumps' GOP debate opponents have neither the brains, vision or MONEY to do all that ... except perhaps Ted Cruz.

Finally ... "Yeb Bush" is taken down by Trump with the simple question:

How can you call "immigration an act of love" when X,XXX Americans have been vrutally assaulted, raped, and murdered by illegal immigrants over the last XX years ?

Well ... again, just some personal observations and commentary for GOP political junkies out there.

======================================

Godspeed Ted Cruz and Donald Trump !

My recollection, could be wrong, is that Trump is the only person besides Cruz who has been referencing the Founder’s intentions.

Thanks seekthetruth, I thought that I heard that somewhere, I was disappointed that it was not mentioned in that interview. So basically it would be tariffs and import taxes.

“Trump is the only person besides Cruz who has been referencing the Founder’s intentions.”

Referencing and actually understanding are two completely different things.

Ginsberg referenced the constitution when she married two faggots.

Trump continuously references non-constitutional things, such as his desire to have national healthcare.

I like Trump. I like the way he has handled the media, and the GOPe; and his unwillingness to act like a pajamas boy when the media/GOPe/democrat consortium has attempted to make him act like an effeminate little girl and tone down his rhetoric and to stop standing up for himself and others.

So I like where he is and what he is doing right now. But I have some reservations about his understanding of, and implementation of, the Constitution.

I don't know how many gotcha questions will be coming Fox News moderators to Republican candidates, at least not like they would get from CNN and NYT moderators.

The worst thing they can do is fling gotcha questions to Trump and Cruz, and softball questions to Bush and Rubio and Christie. Trump and Cruz will be all over that in an instant.

“Right. Keep trying”

Two things Cruz has DONE!!! that ADVANCED Obama’s agenda:

1.) He voted for TPA — that enabled the thing to pass - did he not? Some of us predicted that when the vote was whipped for the second Senate vote and leadership told him his vote was not needed, he would vote against it.

2.) He voted for the Iranian arms bill that removed the treaty protection granted by the Constitution that reversed the required vote, so it is necessary to get 67 votes to stop it instead of 67 votes to approve it.

These two items will cripple/endanger the United States. Obama drooled over these two bills. He wanted those two bills. All the globalist lobbied for these bills. McConnell stated that TPA transferred considerably more power to Obama. What idiot with a room temperature IQ would vote to give MORE power to Obama? Your boy Cruz did just that, along with, of course, all but three or four Republicans.

No one as of yet has mounted any defense at all to justify these two votes. They normally tell me what a horrible person I am for bringing them up.

I await to see how you dodge, evade, these two vital votes — which are something that Cruz has DONE, in addition to his talk against Obama and McConnell.

Trump wrote this book in 2011 (”Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again”). I understand he’s reissuing an updated version of it this Thursday. You can read lots of excerpts from the 2011 version on Amazon right now.

I suspect/think Trump has a much better/deeper feeling for the Founder’s intent and understanding of the Framer’s mindset and their Constitution than many people especially many immigrants including those who have even been to Constitutional schooling for citizenship. I at the same time have reservations as to his actual actions and words within such a frame of reference. I also suspect/believe he will have to come out more specifically as to his personal intentions for governing the US especially as to choosing aids.

If Biden runs, that would be good bec he’s totally off the chain. The media wants to destroy Trump for the big boys and Biden would create a circus atmosphere and his speech and staring at women’s boobs is so inappropriate - he’d help Trump if Uncle Joe joins in. IMHO

Until Trump has to defend his past positions...then, he will have some trouble.

This is where he will be weak. I hope he takes out Jeb though.
