Shiite. I sent money to my mom & dad in 1969 to get me a.357 Mag and ammo. It got through in Danang and I took it to my quarters. Only thing was it was .40 cal. Even my commanding officer begged to give it to him if I was killed. I kinda thought if I did, I wouldn’t get home again.

Was it a revolver? Maybe a .41 Magnum?
The current .40 caliber revolvers were not available until after 1990, when the .40 S&W cartridge was introduced.
