Obama's policies bring in that many each day and they are not even workers but welfare drones.

Newsmax, 8/1/2015, “Trump: I would give non-criminal illegal aliens legal status”

There’s even a FR thread ....

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3319436/posts

It’s based on a Trump interview with CNN’s Dana Bash. Again, here’s the link to the interview, so you can see what Trump has actually said, not what the misleading headline says.....

You’re the one who posted the Newsmax HEADLINE, in your first post of this thread.

Question: were there no American citizens who could fill those jobs as cooks, hotel superintendent, assistant hotel manager, etc, if indeed foreign workers were sought out for those positions?

Every low level contractor, landscaper, etc is forced to hire them to stay competitive, even if they know it’s wrong for our whole country. If the illegals weren’t here they could hire Americans. This minimum wage crap also hurts.

Anyone who’s impressed with that from a guy who’s come out and said the truth on this matter , who had plans to build a wall, has not been to Texas lately

So an assistant hotel manager and banquet manager are often filled by skilled and unskilled Latinos because no Americans citizens can be found to fill those positions, if indeed foreign workers were sought out for those positions?

Puhleeze.

Legally? So what’s the problem?

Exactly. Folks don’t seem to get that, or the fact that until we reform our welfare/*entitlements* programs, we’ll not have folks lining up to do the jobs Americans SHOULD and COULD be doing.

They just aren’t lining up. Why should they when they can make as much, or more, sitting on their couches collecting *entitlement* payouts?

LEGAL immigrants are what make the fabric of this nation so rich.

Two Trump companies submitted 250 visa requests to bring in foreign fashion models. Reuters found that most of the visa requests were granted,

LoL. You against legal entry fashion models?

The benefit that Trump has over Cruz is that Trump has actually talked about increasing legal immigration from Europe, of university graduates and other highly skilled folks who ordinarily can’t get in because our immigration policies prefer people without even a high school education.

No one is talking about this other than Trump, and it is these middle-class, more wealthy sort of people who will be more valuable to us than anyone else.

Since my response went right over your head, the fact that you posted a hit piece on Trump I responded with far worse information on your candidate. Yet, you took it as an excuse for Trump. Not very intellectual of you.

...have requested temporary work visas...

Which, of course has nothing to do with ILLEGAL immigration.

Nine companies majority-owned by Trump have sought to bring in foreign waitresses, cooks, vineyard workers and other laborers on temporary work-visa programs administered by the Labor Department.

More detail in this article.

Donald Trump's companies have sought visas to import at least 1,100 workers

Brought in legally under temporary work-visa programs. This is another problem Trump has addressed by adovating welfare to work programs if he's president. For these types of jobs, our wonderful government has created a situation where many US citizens are better off on means tested poverty programs than working in lower paying jobs.

This needs to be addressed and Trump is the only one I've heard mention it recently, maybe since Newt Gingrich pushed welfare reform in the '90s.

Trump owns companies that have sought to import at least 1,100 foreign workers on temporary visas since 2000, according to U.S. Department of Labor data reviewed by Reuters. Most of the applications were approved, the data show.

1,100 temporary workers in fifteen years isn't much for the many hotels and golf courses Trump operates. Sounds like he hires citizens and legal residents whenever possible and used a legal program for a few extra workers over fifteen years.

Most of them were attractive WHITE models and waitresses and maids from Eastern Europe! It's easy to understand why the liberals are mad.

I never cared to comment about the breast pump fiasco because it didn’t matter to me, so the attempt to link the two here is quite boring and tedious coming from you.

If indeed foreign workers were sought out to fill those positions, could they not find any American citizens to fill those roles even if it meant paying a little more?

If indeed foreign workers were sought out, no American citizens could be found to fill the positions of assistant hotel manager and banquet manager?

That is the thing you are trying to steer attention from.

Really? Did he want any of them to murder American citizens? No?

OMG. What a scoff law.
