Africa truly is the Dark Continent. It is a ravenous black hole that, like its outer space counterparts, sucks up every American dollar (and other foreign exchange) thrown at it in aid. There are too many greedy people, too entrenched in these African governments to siphon away the aid money and not leave a trace. Aid to Africa IS a waste of time, effort, and money. Africa is hopeless; a parasite that would destroy the host if it gets the chance.
