I think its smart of him to lower expectations. So many people think Trump will fall on his face. Somehow I doubt it. All he has to do is not flub and he’s a winner.

“He’s preparing like hell. And polling his test responses and positions like hell.”

I want to say you are wrong but you don’t get to be a billionaire without being competitive.

I have less than no idea what talking "TIMES SQUARE" is and I'm a born & bred New Yorker.

NYC accents change not only from neighborhood to neighborhood, but from generation to generation, as well as from socio-economic class to socio-economic class. Since nobody lives in Times Square, there is no such accent !

Trump IS "playing in the heartland", because he is saying what the people there want to hear.

This isn't like when Al Smith ran and people outside of NYC wouldn't vote for him due to 2 reasons.....his NYC accent and the fact that he was a Catholic. And this was a time when Dems automatically voted for the Dem candidate, as they do now.

It's a metaphor, ma'am. Meaning they talk like New Yorkers.

Ronald Reagan was relaxed and was just himself in the debates. I think Trump will do well by just being himself. He’s not a politician, rather an American first followed by being an icon who knows business. The jig is up and we’re ready for a CEO in the White House. What a breath of fresh air when we need it. God bless Donald Trump!

Don't think that will be a problem for him. Reagan had his worst debate when he was overprepared by his staff. Nancy chewed them out for it.

Reagan was a polished and disciplined speaker. Trump isn't.

A shorter time should be a great benefit to him, allowing him to say "America is a great country and I want to return America to the greatness she deserves" and that would be about it.

If he'll only try and keep it to that. He won't.

“Reagan was a polished and disciplined speaker. Trump isn’t”

You have zero knowledge of that. For all you and I know every word that Trump says is deliberate and has a reason.

So far he’s parlayed that into a huge lead in the polls. It must be driving you out of your mind. LOL!

The Donald is living rent free in your head 24/7. :-)

I knew what you meant; however, there's no such "metaphor" and it doesn't fit at all.

And since your family members talk like New Yorkers at home, just what to they talk the rest of the time? LOL

So true. Just be yourself Donald and don’t let Megyn Kelly get away with anything.

The worst thing that Trump can do is ad hoc the answers. He needs to write down some visions of success, and some high level actions to achieve the vision. If he doesn't, he will come off as rambling and unserious.

You know, you're really getting old.

So far, you and all Trump's critics, have been wrong, wrong, wrong in every single prediction.

You'd think with that track record you might at least say, "we'll see. He's done well so far."

I've tried to refrain from saying this but here it is: Ted Cruz is not going to be the candidate. Even if it isn't Trump, I seriously doubt that Scott Walker will be the candidate. It's either going to be the one person that the Dems know they can beat---Bush---or the one they know they can't beat, Trump.

He’s also on good terms with a world class debate specialist from the “Lone Star” state.

They learned to speak slowly, finish their sentences and not come off edgy or hostile, which NYers tend to do in the boonies of PA.
And when they talk to their parents I can’t follow ‘em at all.
Jo ejszakat!

Hmmmmmmm.....I went to boarding school in Pa., have relatives who live there ( eastern Pa. ) and a good friend who grew up and lived in Pittsburgh and haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about, since not a single person has ever said that I speak too fast, nor that I don't finish a sentence...which I do. "Edgy" ? Perhaps; "hostile"....only to those who are imbeciles and/or are hostile towards me.

Kuszonom Szepen for the chat. Viszont lata's ra.

Matter of opinion.

I've tried to refrain from saying this but here it is: Ted Cruz is not going to be the candidate.

He has a better chance than Trump has.

Very few politicians stay in topic, on purpose. They don’t answer the question ands go off on their memorized response to a different question. Trump meandering a but won’t seem much different

Depends on how you define chance.

Likelihood of winning.

Trump has a vastly higher chance of winning than Cruz. And I’m understating.
