For the last several hundred thousand years, Ice Ages have been the NORM, with cyclical excursions into warmer temperatures.
Look at the graph below. All of recorded human civilization is contained in the warm interglacial period on the right. And we are overdue for the next drop into Ice Age conditions.

Guess I´ll have to ramp my CO
2 up even more, if I want to achieve my goal of quadrupling CO2 in the atmosphere, from its present measly 400 ppm to a more robust 1600 ppm. That´s because significantly increasing CO
2 has a wonderful atmospheric fertilizing effect on plant life: and I want a green planet!
Fortunately, my main massive carbon-producer already churns out healthy hefty amounts of *three* greenshouse gases: CO2 , methane, and water vapor. And what is this wonderful greenhouse-boosting device?
My compost pile!
Please join me in my Campaign for Carbon.
You may all exhale.
Thank you.

Okay, so you reject real science because back in the '70s Time magazine said there was going to be an ice age. Never mind the details. Nevermind that back in the 70's we had no idea the cause of the Maunder Minimum and that this study nails how it happened...and how it will happen again.
Anyway, my point holds.
This study is about non man-made cooling and warming. It contradicts Al Gore's AGW nonsense. It doesn't originate from Obama's federally funded research garbage. And it blames the Sun's cycles and not mankind for the natural fluctuations.
