When will Walker get a college degree? Is he attending college to finish his degree?

You know, if my man had been a liberal for 65 years, I don't think I'd parrot liberal talking points as a way to attack any other Republican.

I also said no candidate could win POTUS with 8% unemployment (13% actual), surging food prices, trillion dollar deficits, $4 gas, Benghazi, and Obamacare.

So my insight is pretty lousy....

Well the UE is a key key point, and something I HARPED ON endlessly in my book....first, it was really more like 12-13 - and second, they cooked the books to get it under 8 right before the election....

Your analysis was not bad, Romney’s campaign was much worse.

“Trump’s support for securing the borders is a mile wide and half an inch deep, since he was attacking conservatives just a few years ago as “nativists” and “racists” for speaking out against illegal immigration.”

Can you give me a link for that? I would like to read that.

I’m talking strictly as a candidate and ability to appeal to voters, ability to handle the media and the spotlight, etc. Trump is much better at this than Perot was.

You still lie.

Are you being paid?

The Walkers have a family member who is gay (I guess you don’t).

Since when facts have become talking points?

Have you posted retorts to Walker supporters posting attack points on Trump?

Again, I only have problem with lies, no problem with facts. Like when low information posters say Trump has filed bankruptcy 4 times. They never mention that Trump has ownership in over 500 different business entities, and only 4 individual business entities filed bankruptcy.

I have no problem when posters say Trump donated to democrats. Because it is a fact. But they never mention Trump also donated to republicans. Rick Perry, Scott Walker, Lindsay Graham etc all have received donations from Trump.

Have a wonderful day.

2012: Trump criticizes GOP for being mean spirited on immigration.

In 2000, I remember Trump wanted to run for the Reform Party nomination because he didn't want to see the "racist" Pat Buchanan (who, unlike Trump, has been pushing immigration restriction for decades) on the ticket. I don't have a link, but I'm sure a quick google search will find his statements for you.

If you've been wondering why Trump never used his wealth or media clout to support the cause of securing the border, this is the reason why. Trump never believed in the issue to begin with, and he's only harping on it now because he knows it stirs up attention and controversy.

The nomination should be between Walker and Cruz. Let them each fight fairly and gentlemanly for the top slot, and then, let the party unite the winner.

Perot was a fine patriot. No dispute. If he had a chance to win, I might have voted for him.

But Perot did not have 1/10th name recognition of Trump.
Perot was never a TV star. Like it or not, majority of voters are not political junkies like us. They know TV stars better than any politician. Even my own wife!

Perot was a foot and a half shorter than Trump. Taller candidates have done much better in the past.

Trump can buy 4 Perot’s and have money left over to buy a couple of Romney’s. Money is not everything but it is known to be a factor in politics.

Perot demonstrated unstable personality trait by dropping out of the race and then rejoining the race. He was paranoid about the Bushes causing a disturbance in his daughter’s wedding or something like that.

But both Perot & Trump love America and that is very high in my book.

Cruz has staying power because he is 10 times better speaker than Walker. Walker puts me to sleep listening to his long speeches. Walker on the other hand has actual record of governing which Cruz does not have. Iowa is very critical for Walker. If Trump edges him out in Iowa, it will be tough for Walker and he will lose momentum in all other states.

If you name ONE candidate who in 2016 is talking about DEPORTING illegals who have broken no other laws, I will instantly switch my support to him/her. I can’t find any!

Last ones to use the word Deport was Romney & Tancredo before that.

I find Walker an adequate speaker but with a good report to share.

I find Cruz somewhat condescending toward his audience but good on issues.

I find Trump arrogant and unbalanced.

Since you are a big supporter of Walker, can you get the word out to him, to jazz up his speaking style a bit? And also tell him to stop bobbing his head up and down after every sentence. Just honest suggestions.

My hope is a Walker/Cruz ticket. Let the vp nominee do all the attacking, and let the pres nominee look above the fray.

Similarly, I'd instantly vote for Trump if I were convinced that he were remotely sincere about deporting illegal aliens, as opposed to just saying so to generate controversy and attention. For instance, if (like Perot or Buchanan) he had some kind of track record of being on the right side of the issue, instead of either being silent or saying the exact opposite for years.

Given the Bush family political racket, with its proven ability to push lackluster candidates into high office, often with no qualifications other than family name (e.g. La Raza boy George Prescott in TX), I wouldn't put it past them to try and make an offer to Perot that he couldn't refuse.

Thank you. After following four links, I did find this:

On Fox News this morning, Donald Trump said that even though he’s one of the world’s “very conservative” persons, he’s open to a much softer approach on dealing with some long-term illegal immigrants.

“For people that have been here for years that have been hard-workers, have good jobs, they’re supporting their family — it’s very, very tough to just say ‘By the way, 22 years, you have to leave. Get out.’

.... I’m one of the world’s very conservative people, but I have to tell you on a human basis, how do you throw somebody out that’s lived in this country for twenty years.”

He also claimed that Mitt Romney has shown both “compassion” and carefulness in dealing with the issue.

As of late, Trump’s politics have often lined up closely with the tea party, yet it’s notable that he’s calling for a softer approach to immigration here.

By the way, this quote is from 2012. I’m sorry, I should have made that clear.
