You would prefer he donate money to some charity, where much of it would go to administrative overhead, and much of the rest would be stolen by Mugabe? I think much of the fuss about this is the African kleptocrats being upset over not getting their cuts.

I don’t think that he is obligated to help anybody but himself/his family, but charity is a Good Thing.
I don’t have a problem with hunting/fishing, but if you “bag” it, if you and your friends don’t eat it, it’s wasteful and stupid. And no rare animals whose shooting will make Americans look ugly worldwide, please. The Africans hear it all the time over conservation from the West, and then this crap happens. Great.
