Yeppers. I saw lots of people here at FR outraged at the cop in the Sandra Bland case.
But right or wrong, she KNEW. We ALL know - you mouth off to a cop like that and you’re going downtown.
This Dubose guy failed to obey orders. He’s now dead.
Discuss if the cop was right or wrong all day long, if ya like. But Dubose is still dead.
And Cincy will burn tonight. Oh well.
Yeah, that kind of thing has been going on a long, long time, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with race. Maybe, just maybe those of us criticizing such actions are just asking for the cops to act like the professionals they are supposed to be, not a bunch of roided up jackboots. A cop should be emotionally grown up enough to be able to handle disrespect without going full-on-jackboot on a citizen.
