More like the play of the first Thanksgiving the kiddies put on for the adults before they are relegated back to the kiddies table.

Yep. At all family parties when young, I sat at the second tier card table to eat, along with the other young ones in our family. It was a great and memorable day when I finally graduated to the adult table; it took forever to get there, lol. So, some candidates have to debate at the second tier youngster’s table until they can graduate to the grownup’s debate table. That’s life.
