Here’s my thought:

Trump understands directing a budget in excess of a billion dollars. Through his staff, he can direct his financials to make the most of his “treasury” so that it isn’t wasted, falsely used and can be direct to maximize income while benefiting those who would depend on him for income (jobs). I think he is running for budget on treasury/taxes/budget concerns alone.

Instead of putting ^politicians^ in control of a trillion-dollar treasury (droolers!) why not put an experienced Financial Executive in control of a trillion-dollar BUDGET that can be appropriately pigeon-holed in the image of pigeon-holed budgets are. Trump knows the difference between a treasury and a budget.

Really, there is noone in this day and time that cannot “relate” to such a concept

"I just don’t see where The Donald has a whole lot of competition."

His main adversary might be the moderator(s).

“a skilled person in another area could help provide some tips/keys to the upcoming debates for him.”

With all of those people on stage, I doubt if anyone could need anything more than a sound byte helper. Trump will say a few words when it’s his turn. He doesn’t need the debates to get before we voters.

Any reason why Trump, president or not, should, could or would not build a wall right across the southern border? That could be his contribution as a able & patriotic citizen within his financial means.. It could be even be named after him... like “the Trump Wall” or something..

But that doesn’t remove the fact that a skilled person in another area could help provide some tips/keys to the upcoming debates for him.

The guy is a billionaire, running a huge business. He knows how to get people into the right positions to help him.

But Trump speaks from the heart, and he doesn't care about saying things the right way. He says the right things, and this is what people like to hear.

Donald Trump has never ridden into the sunset in his life.

Maybe when it comes to data, history, etc., but if they try to manipulate his style, it’ll be over. His style and his honesty is what is resonating.

There are some basic skills or I should say “rules” in debate. You listen to Cruz, and it’s like he’s mastered the science of debate. Trump, has the raw talent to debate. His answers are quick and short. The best in my mind so far has been Newt. Newt would take a question, and weave it into a short story with a beginning middle and an ending.

If Trump remains succinct in his answers, he should do well. ON the other hand he enters the debates in first place. He either maintains the lead, or loses it. Will interesting to see.

I am also pretty sure that he’s going over a list of the questions that might be asked.

Or, he can go in there saying things like ‘there’s nothing to fear from a Hillary Clinton administration’.

We could use a new conservative media if he’s got the money and the inclination to help the country.

I’m hoping that Trump takes down the RINO bitches like the Shrub before bowing out. Clear the field of the useless and traitorous GOPe and then get behind a real conservative candidate. But, keep up the aggressive pounding of the GOPe and the fascist democrats.

We’re long overdue for a “Conan the Destroyer” element on the conservative side.

Honestly, if the alternative is Jeb, there would not be much difference. We know we cannot rely on Congress, even when we stack it nearly overwhelmingly in our favor. Tea Party guys like Toomey, Rubio, Paul just absolutely turn GOPe once they are in Washington.

If you have been around FR long, you'd know that I have been the foremost OPPONENT of a third party, but I think the time has come where the current GOP must collapse, send 20-30% of them over the the Dems, and raise a new party up like the Republicans of the 1850s rose out of the ashes of the Whigs.

I can't disagree. Which is why I'd like to see Trump turn everything upside down. Maybe then the GOP can be salvaged.

But considering how deeply the monied interests have sunk their fangs into the party, I doubt it.

Yeah, it’s going to take a little more. However (and this is dangerous), a President Trump could use the “czar” and executive order stuff to slash and burn parts of the government that are useless. He could, as someone suggested, unilaterally move the guilty IRS employees to Scottsbluff, NE. Of course, he could also use that power to do things we don’t agree with. Always a danger.

Do you think some of the candidates already have the questions?

It won’t matter who’s elected next if they do not do a top to bottom purge of the unelected federal bureaucracy they are doomed. Can you imagine the howling that would ensue.

Exactly my point, and unfortunately I think only The Donald can do that. I don’t even think Walker or Cruz would be inclined-—let along successful-—in doing that. The ego it takes, and the willingness to just be vicious in the counterattacks is beyond either of them.

It will be interesting to see how Trump and Cruz treat each other at the debate.
