Staff from the building known as the Los Angeles Regional Traffic Management Center were evacuated to a predesignated location, he said. Staffers and dispatchers from Caltrans and CHP work at the building, which opened in 2007.
CHP officials were setting up easy-up tents in the parking lots of the center, aerial video from Sky5 showed. At least two officers with K-9 partners were walking the parking lot, appearing to inspect vehicles.
An ambulance and fire engine were on scene. The Los Angeles Fire Department was on standby, Nunez said.

That’s just about a block away from Ernie Jr’s Taco House, which for more than 40 years served fine Mexican food until it closed in 2014.
Near the end it wasn't so special. The drinks tasted bad, the places was kind of dirty, and the food was only so-so.
There's an Ernie's on Lankershim just south of Riverside. It's OK. They also have live music which is great if you like that and the drinks taste good.
Ernie's might once have been owned by the father of the guy who opened Ernie Jr's. Not sure, but I believe I remember hearing that back in the days when the Eagle Rock Galleria had a Monkey Wards.

BTW, finally, the State appears to be ready to settle and pay, as well they should.
