Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) has filed a motion to try to force Speaker John Boehner from his leadership post. The move, called a motion to vacate the chair, represents a new level of opposition to GOP leadership from the conservative wing of the House Republican Conference. The motion can be postponed for several days before consideration.

The resolution was filed late Tuesday afternoon, just one day before the House was slated to depart for its summer recess.

Excellent! Get rid of orange Johnny and get a real speaker in there

Keep in mind, the House Reps put him in there and all that voted for him should also be held completely accountable.

That would be nice but it won’t happen. Most will just be POed at conservatives for delaying their vacations.

Agree. Time for some accountability. Those enablers who have helped Boehner with his efforts to diminish the voice of the people must go.

My coward for a congressman (John Carter - TX) claims he had a doctor’s appointment the day of the last vote for “orange Johnny”.

You are correct. The entire Republican caucus now completely owns the consequences of Obama’s agenda. It is their baby. They can’t wiggle out of it. And, it is beyond human comprehension. I don’t think that many people can be successfully blackmailed, but the globalists have an unlimited amount of money to purchase all of them. They are, without doubt, the largest collection of fools, traitors, and snakes ever assembled in one body. If there is another election, they should all be voted out.

My understanding is they can only delay for up to a specific number of legislative days. They will have to consider it when they come back, whenever that is. Will be interesting to see if the Dems support it.

The conservatives have the votes in the Republican Caucus to deny him the chair but the Dems can ( and I think would) provide him the votes in the simple majority vote on the ‘motion to vacate’ to defeat the motion.

Not sure what’s going on here, though I approve!

Ordinarily honorable men would resign when faced with a vote of no confidence. So even if the Democrats step in and save him, he should resign if more GOP house members than not vote to oust him.

Think that’s going to happen? Doubt he’ll even cry.

There is a new wind blowing.

Going along to get along is NOT going to cut it.

It will start with defunding planned abortionhood (can obozo veto that? I thought all spending was purely in the hands of the House...).

The eGOP should be crapping their britches.
