A South Florida man has been charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction in Key West.
According to the U.S. Attorneys Office, Harlem Suarez, a/k/a Almlak Benitez, 23, of Key West was posting extremist rhetoric on his Facebook page which promoted the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), a foreign terrorist organization.
That caught the attention of the FBI.
The criminal complaint states Suarez told an undercover FBI informant that he wanted to make a timer bomb. Suarez bought galvanized nails, which were to be hidden in a backpack and remotely detonated by cell phone, states the complaint. It also says Suarez planned to bury the bomb at a public beach in Key West and detonate it.

I remember reading Tom Clancy's "Debt of Honor" years ago when it first came out. After reading the last chapter, I had to go back and read it again, because I just couldn't believe what he'd done in the novel.
“The taxpayers are lower than the non-tax payers....”
That is an excellent statement in its simplicity and truth. Especially when referring to those taxpayers at lower income levels. They work hard, but some seemingly arbitrary income level number has them paying a good portion of their income in taxes. While their next door neighbor, who works less, or more often, not at all, receives all kinds of ‘free shit’, paid for by the one who works. So yes! The ones who don’t work are rewarded, while the people who are productive get punished, and are forced to give a portion of their life’s labor and time to those who do not work. The system now in place ranks the productive “lower” than the slothful, as evidenced by who is rewarded and who is punished.
I agree.
I knew of a couple on welfare that made more than my wife and I, and we didn’t make bad money.
The U. S. is a joke.
Very interesting list. Thanks for posting it. This line really surprised me:
“(iii) rocket having a propellant charge of more than four ounces,”
Under the above definition, any amateur model rocket enthusiast could be seen as building a WMD if they added just one too many rocket engines to their craft. Seems like that section could use a little refining like specifying that the rocket has a warhead and is launched towards Israel by someone who moons Mecca 5 times a day, or shouts Allah Akbar as he ignites the engine.
It threw her 12 feet.
It was not in Florida though- that was up in the NE somewhere.
Ditto all that.................
