If you don't believe the Israelis are our friends, ask any American tourist who has traveled to Israel or any US serviceman who was stationed there. You will get positive vibes almost all the time.
As for spying, friendly nations spy on each other all the time. The US spies on Israel, Britain, France, Germany, etc. (Remember when one US intelligence agency had tapped into German Chancellor Merkel's phone line?)
Pollard's spying was limited to making copies of classified documents which he handed over to the Israelis. They were concerned with goings-on in Arab Muslim states that were potential threats to Israel at the time. That was thirty plus years ago. Despite all sorts of fears, there is no evidence of any injury to Americans as a result of Israel's possession of the documents and they are in all likelihood are irrelevant to the Middle East of today.
I agree 100% that Israel is our friend.
Pollard sold my countries secrets. I don’t care if it was to friend or foe. A traitor is a traitor and traitors should be stood against a wall and shot.
To me this isn’t about Israel as much as it is about him.
We have a lot of traitors. The same should be done to them.
